| | Is there more to life than this?Page 1 of 1 | Hello all. I'm a 19 yr old Marine 1500 miles away from home. I go out with my friends and hang out and do all the normal stuff that everyone else does, but my life feels a little empty, like there's nothing out there that can hold my interest long enough to enjoy it. I understand I'm young, I have a lot left to see and do, but none of it really appeals to me. Life generall;y sucks when you're a enlisted military member, but MAN!!! Maybe its just where I'm at (Oceanside, CA- halfway between San Diego and LA), maybe it's just me adjusting to a new setting, or something else. My question is: What is it that everyday people spend their time doing? Where does one go to find a new passion or something to be involved in? What is everyone's secret to happiness, their reason for living? Ok- that sounded all depressed and suicidal (neither of which applys to me at all). ANYWAYS--- answer me and help me find things to do and enjoy! | |

But I've actually visit my father more then my other brothers ( I live an 8 hour drive away ). The hardest is your first three years, till you get use to military life. You get over it with time. I'm sure your location is in an area that is a little remote. Have to find a hobby to keep you busy.

(and if ya wanna play dark side of the moon at the same time be my guest)
But the thing is, you dont have to look any further than your back yard to find happiness. It is in you, Bro.
