8:00 pm – Music starts at 9:30. We’ll have tables reserved but they only hold them for about an hour and a half.

Read through the rules, pick a place and go for it. I understand we're not going to please everyone but we do try our best to make the majority happy.
We've had get togethers at different venues. The feedback we've received so far is - people favor the karaoke meets. It has everything in one place....signing, dancing, pool, food, etc. Each venue is going to have a drawback and of all the karaoke places in Regina, the Crown is the best choice. | |

Posted: 11/11/2007 4:08:01 PM | The only other place that might fit the bill is something Mustang had mentioned to me.
The Eagles club, Stang is a member so she might be able to get us in. When Rod and Daryl do the karaoke there its great fun and the venue is perfect. Very cheap drinks and great food.
The Kings head is big enuff and Phil, the karaoke host is cool and knows his stuff. The Kings
wouldn't hold our tables that long and we'd be scattered all over.
The Crown is a tad small but they're very accomodating, and we seem to fit in nicely with the space provided for us. Its nice and cosy and lends itself well to mingling.
That said, its the people that make it a fun night out, and as Blondie mentioned, we have everything we need right there. Maybe next year when summer rolls around again, we can organize an afternoon bar b cue, ball games and music with a bon fire out at Bogey Creek, but until then we'll have to partake in the indoor sports.
Our hosts do a great job as always and if we didn't have a few that went out of their way to do it for us, I'm afraid the monthly meets would most likely fall apart quickly. | |

AS for karaoke....the only song they let me sing....Is Over The Hills And Far Away..perferably.....lol
Kinda like Barney Rubble I sing best..in the shower with no audience...lol
I dont know about u all but a Christmas caroling night may be fun...followed up by hot chocolate some place..
Maybe S anta would make an appearance!!!!
I have many ideas but little time to put them in action

christmas is on it's way... time to make out your wish list... what is it you REALLY WANT? i think we all want the same things in varrying degrees... someone...someone to laugh with, someone to snuggle with, someone to talk with, someone that makes ya feel special, someone you wanna make feel special too... regardless of the reason, or the specifics, we all have a lil wish list goin on. what better way to fulfill that wish list of yours? LET'S HAVE A BIT 'O FUN, GET TOGETHER WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE WORKIN ON THEIR WISH LIST TOO!
now a little birdie tells me that perhaps having a meet and greet at the same venue is a bad thing.... here is MY oppinion on that....
i personally feel that there is absolutely nothing wrong with familiarity, it creates a sense of comfort.
yes there has been a bit of talk about finding another venue, and it is still in the works, however, there are a few things to be considered:
1 VENUE AVAILABILITY- not all places are willing or able to have a function such as ours, on a saturday... and from what i have gathered, saturdays are much better for these functions, especially for those who are travelling to attend.
2 PLEASING PEOPLE - not all people can be pleased all of the time. although we try, as hosts and co-hosts we do our level best to make the events as pleasant, welcoming, safe, and convenient as possible, there is NO possibility of pleasing each and every person. I MAKE NO APPOLOGY for this, WE DO OUT BEST.
3 HOSTING - if there is anyone who feels that they can perhaps be more successful, creative, and fresh in regards to pulling together a meet... we would CERTAINLY WELCOME THEM TO HOST A MEET AND GREET EVENT THEMSELVES. even though it may seem that an event is just simply posted and people show up... that isnt exactly how it works, there is a lot of time and energy spent on putting on an event. not the least of which would be taking the pictures, posting, and captioning them, and we all know if there arent pictures of an event, there is a certain level of disappointment to be aware of, as well as the special invitations sent out via e-mail on POF... to increase attendance... and of course, contacting the venue, (repeatedly), to ensure proper seating arrangements...this all takes time, ( we are busy people too...but we MAKE the time).
now, we have been in contact with the owner of the CROWN AND HAND, and we are doing all we can to ensure that we do not have a RECRUIT FIASCO this time around... SO LET'S FILL THE WHOLE DAM PLACE UP WITH FISH!
WHADDYA SAY? CAN I GET A HELLLL YEAHHHHH??????
