| What Do You Have To Be Thankful For?
Posted: 11/11/2007 2:54:22 PM | With the Thanksgiving holiday rapidly approaching I've already started thinking about all the things I have to be thankful for this year. That's probably because I've been so very blessed this year.
I learned several months ago that daughter is pregnant with her third child & my first granddaughter! Last Monday my son was sworn in as a city police officer ... completing a dream that he's had since his early high school days! And just this past Friday I received a phone call from my son informing me that he had just proposed to his girlfriend & she had accepted his proposal! I'm sure I have more to be thankful for but these are the most recent & represent some great blessings that I have received over the past year!

Posted: 11/11/2007 4:28:05 PM | The past year was a rough one, and I'm glad all the heartache, pain and losses are behind me, but I am also thankful for the lessons learned and knowing I have the strength to make it. I'm thankful for the friends who helped me through it. My family is all healthy. My kids are doing well and are happy.
I've been blessed with finding a wonderful man who makes my heart happy, even if he is half a world away. He turned me into a dreamer, then into a "do-er", and he gives me hope. Maybe this will last forever, but at any rate, he has come into my life for a reason, and I am blessed. I have an abundance to be thankful for! | |

Posted: 11/11/2007 4:41:09 PM | | This year brought allot of changes for me, some good , some real bad. But it made me wake up to quit a few things also. I relized I have the best kids in the world, and I need to make more quality time for them. It really showed me who my friends were, because they stoood behind me when the chips were down, if it wasnt fro them, I may not have made it through all I did. I'm thankful for life, and its not something i take for granted anymore. I ddi for a long time. Im thankful, Im happy with myself again and teh fact i dont need someone else to make me happy. I do that on my own. But that doesnt mean I dont want soemone beside me. I am thnakful for a chucrch taht i grew up in, and got away from for many years, but yet was accepted with open arms when I went back. I have so many thinsg I'm thankful for anymore its very hard to list. | |

Posted: 11/11/2007 5:32:10 PM | First off I am thankful that my daughter is finally healthy and growing! I am thankful for all my children. I am thankful my dad met his "goals" before dying this may. I am blessed that I found a church I love and that they accept me...flaws and all! I am thankful I am growing and learning everyday in different ways. I am thankful I have a talent that I am finally comfortable with and proud of! I am also thankful for all the wonderful people I have met in this forum! We may not always agree but that is what makes the forums interesting! Thank you guys!!!!

I'm thankful to be in this place and time, and being given the awareness to appreciate all that there is to learn and enjoy from it.

Posted: 11/13/2007 10:54:58 PM | I am thankful for my loving family, who is always there for me - through the good and bad times. I am very thankful to have a wonderful daughter whom I love dearly and would never change anything in my past that brought her into the world. I am thankful for my closest friends that have been there to help me through a lot of rough times, without them, I do not know where I would be right now. I also am thankful for my health and my daughter's health. We have had a tough year and without the support from everyone and the doctor's, we still may be living in pain. Instead, we have made progress to go forward in life, one day at a time.
Thank you to all of the friends that I have made in such a short time here on POF. I appreciate your words of wisdom and your sense of humor to make my days brighter.
Last but not least, I am thankful for someone special coming into my life that makes me smile, laugh, and be the person that I know I am and can be.
Most importantly, I am thankful for all of the troops that have volunteered to be in the Armed Forces, if it was not for them, who knows how our country would be. Some have given their lives for us and to their families, may God bless each of you and keep you in his care. Thank you for having such brave children, husbands, etc...that have died for all of us.

Oh, my, what a year 2009 has been for me, yet I am so thankful that as the end of it approaches, I am standing on quite different ground than when it started. Most of all, I am so thankful for the crash course I took in human nature.101, and I passed! I feel so much wiser!
I'm thankful for new friends and deeper relationships with old friends. Thankful for new paths to walk on and the ability to close doors where they need to be closed. Thankful for loose ends being tied up, for peace in the midst of chaos, and learning how to just be present here and now and let the rest be. | |

I am thankful that my oldest daughter is getting her life back in order.
I am thankful that my father is still around to tell him I Love Him.
I am thankful that I was able to come to my senses and realize I needed to stop drinking alcohol and on Sunday it will be 1 month without any.
I AM THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL THAT I AM DATING THE LOVE OF MY LIFE.
I am thankful for plenty of fish because if this website didn't exist I wouldn't have met the love of my life.
I am thankful for all of the friends I have made on this website.
I am thankful that I have a full time job. | |

i'am thankful that it's only 80 degrees today
i'am thankful to watch all the animals that come through this yard everyday as if for only my pleasure

Posted: 10/31/2009 10:47:43 AM | I am very blessed with two fine boys that are healthy, happy, strong and indpendant (to a certain degree...lol) I am so very greatful for my friends and family...one in particular that helped me save my career by asking her friend to give me a job...i am thankful that i have a roof over my head and i can pay my bills........happy that I am in reasonable good health, can laugh at life's ups and downs...and i am meeting some nice men from POF...maybe someone special wil come into my life...that would make my life complete...until then...I will continue to have FUN and celebrate LIFE!!!!  | |

I am blessed to have a support system for what myself and my family are up against.
Blessed I have 3 awesome grandsons, also my children & extended family n friends.

1. That I still have a living parent
2. That my kids are healthy and happy
3.That I am healthy
4. For the many friends I have
5. That my Brothers and sisters are happy and healthy
6. That I still have a job in tough economic times

~ My wonderful children - I am so blessed to have such great children especially since their dad and I were so ornery when we were growing up - it obviously skips genes 
~ The Big Guy and my angels (mom and dad) 'upstairs' watching after me over the past year, testing me and letting ME learn very good lessons
~ That I am healthy and have a job that I actually don't mind going to daily
~ Awesome friends who can make me smile and laugh, and can kick my a$$ when I need it 
~ Learning how to let the past poor choices go easily and see such a positive future.
~ The lil boys (kittens) in my life who I can continuously forgive while they are tearing down my curtains | |

With this day finally done - food put away, dishwasher running and the apartment finally quiet - I am so thankful for my children and the laughter that they bring into my life. My cheeks and stomach still hurt from laughing. I have no clue where they got all their sillyness and love the fact that no matter what age, they still act like children enjoying life!! | |
