| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/17/2007 12:10:19 PM | | Well it depends i loved my ex for ten years then all the sudden i hated her and i mean i hated her alot. But that might have alot to do with the man between her legs at the time. Then i was seing this girl and she seemed incredible so we got a apartment, and one day i just couldnt stand her (she tried to force me to eat liver yuk!!!!!!!) she had to go. Then i dated this girl we were having sex and she asked me if she could use a dildo on my rectum (well she had to go). Then i dated a girl we went to get naked and i found out she didnt believe in shaving anything yukk again. there are alot of factors that can change our minds. But its not a man thing its a human thing. | |

Sex having staying power...dont agree with that...cause he didnt even get to my door...sex would of been nice...

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/17/2007 1:20:15 PM | | Well he might be after something.. maybe. Some people move faster than others. I like to learn all I can about women before I meet them. Women (and men) tend to be shy in person to person. | |

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/17/2007 1:32:43 PM | Hey,...I am not getting any younger...I am still chatting with him but not as often...think he has found someone else to chat with...but thats fine too...I am shopping now...taking interviews myself... Maybe he got cold feet...but three times you are out...he cancelled one date...now he saying that we have nothing in common and we would never have a relationship... Thats not what he said two weeks ago...maybe once he got to know me...he thought that I was not for him...if so, his loss... | |

|
| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/17/2007 3:23:19 PM | Trust me it isn't just guys.
There's an internet story about a woman who broke up with her boyfriend, of over six months, for no other reason that he turned up on a date, wearing an, out of fashion, plaited belt.
I've never heard of any man breaking offf a relationship over something that petty.

then decide the next week that you are not the one without meeting you.... He never rejected you because he never MET you. He turned down some fantasy he had in his head based in a small part on text, email or phone conversations he had with you. The much larger ingredients that went into this Fantasy You came from his own imagination. Who knows why. But unless you have met him, he could not reject you. | What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/17/2007 4:05:35 PM | | He met someone 'better'. That's the number one reason for blowing someone off if you had interest in them before. Or, maybe he simply lost interest or was put off by something.
|
| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/17/2007 4:19:22 PM | Maybe someone better came along ?
Maybe he just decided you werent for him ?
Maybe he had his wicked way and didnt like it ?
Who knows !!!!!!! | |

Basically it takes a while to make up our minds.

I agree with that...it takes awhile for men to make up their minds...I hate change but try not to complain about it too much... I believe he might be comparing me to a ex girlfriend...and I am not her... Thanks ....

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/17/2007 10:59:00 PM | OP.. This just happens but you were going out on a date with in the first week. Umm not to be disrespectful. But Daym that is fast... I have also heard you say in this thread.. You are not getting any younger.. No Offense OP but that just screams desperate.
Umm a little piece of advice. Go slower. take your time getting to know someone. I talked to someone for over a month before we met..

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/18/2007 1:03:49 AM | | JustSassy, i am going to have to TOTALY disagree with you. I think once you ruled out your basic auto-fail defaults, you may as well meet the person after one day of chatting if you get a good vibe. Chemistry usually isn't something you can really sense by online conversations, and no amount of words exchanged in typing will tell you if you'll 'click' in person or not. I've had experiences meeting people from anything from 20 mins of talking, to after well over a year. Crapshoot to a large extent regardless. | |

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/18/2007 1:39:39 AM | Did you ask him what made him change his mind , or did he run away?? A week is not a very long time and if he was already getting moody , why would you still want him?? A " Red Flag ", I say.
Wait and find someone who calls you two or three times a day. Sees you every chance he gets ,and is still that" into you "six months later.
Good luck,,,, | |

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 11/18/2007 8:55:56 AM | They don't always look around the corner. When they do, it's because they aren't attracted enough to you in one way or more. They might be settling with you for a time, because you beat loneliness in their mind.
How much is required for you to say they have given you a chance? Even if you can answer it, don't expect them to have the same answer. They may have given you a chance by their standards.

Just my two cents...
If you ever had to phrase that question to me, and it involved two weeks of not meeting face-to-face? Well, I'd be long gone before two weeks, let alone one...

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 3/28/2008 6:50:51 PM | | For me it is a gut feeling something that came up in a convo or just something that was said that did not turn my crank. I have not chatted with you but this is something that has happened to me and I have done myself. Like not finding out they were a smoker till you your 3 or 4th time chatting. You might also want to put a full length photo of yourself at a reasonable distance standing up and I think that would help. sorry don't mean to find fault you look cute in the pic but some guys like to see the whole picture. | |

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 3/28/2008 7:24:21 PM | | You see, men enjoy the hunt, not the end result, its the fact they can't have you and imagine or over imagine even what it might be like to have you and then finally, all of a sudden, that feeling is gone because they feel they've accomplished what ever it is they wanted to get, so they move on to someone else for the challenge, i think its just a promal urge, but the problem here is not running, its hunting to much and giving TO MANY chances | |

| What Makes a Guy... Posted: 3/28/2008 7:32:33 PM | | For me, if I try to reach out to a girl and I don't feel like she's making an adequate effort to reach back (i.e. talk only if she has nothing better to do) then that's certainly a big way to lose interest. | |

And, why are they always looking around the corner for the next new thing...without giving someone a chance... Because you women are.
