| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 10:18:00 AM | What do you like to see on a gal at a sports bar? Would a football or baseball jersey get a second look, or just the non-imposing look like we just walked there from work (work clothes), or something more revealing?
This isnt a thread to moralize about going out alone, or who you go with.
Also give suggestions or ideas on what you dont like too. If you saw something on someone at a sports bar and thought "that is hideous" or something, tell us :)

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 12:41:03 PM | i prefer to see a woman wear whatever she is comfortable with. dressing for success is one thing in business or even to a nice restaurant but when it comes to the sports bar, be comfortable and be who you are. i can't stand a woman that dresses to impress and it really isn't who she is, that is just too vain for me. dress for yourself and smile, laugh and have a good time...that is woman i am looking for.

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 1:32:45 PM | | I'm not a hard core sports fan, but I will go to some sports bars because I like the food and overall atmosphere. I don't think how people generally dress at a sports bar that is much different than a regular bar or restaurant. Some women will wear T-shirt or a sweatshirt with jeans. Some women will wear a summer flower dress when it's warm. Some women will wear a nice dress shirt or a sweater with slacks. It simply depends on what YOU feel comfortable with. | |

I would at least like to see a girl look like she follows sports, don't wear a foot ball jersey in the middle of baseball season (bad move), follow a major sport or during the winter wear a hockey jersey.

I'd personally perfer to hang out with a somone who is dressed casual but having an awesome time rather than somone wearing my fav teams uniform and just sitting there.

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 1:55:06 PM | I can tell you what not to wear. A jersey of the team that the home team is playing against especially if they are rivals. For example, wearing a Yankees jersey in Boston when the Red Sox are playing the Yankees.

I agree with this. I could be comfortable wearing a team jersey, T-shirt, dress shirt, or a summer dress at sports bars or bars in general. My wardrobe styles and tastes are very flexible.

A cheerleader's uniform.
Like the kind they use in porn flicks.
It'll really mess up people who want to watch the game.

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 6:27:16 PM | | I usually dress business casual as I go after work to watch hoops. Sometimes I even wear a skirt, which gets more male attention. I go to watch my team on big-screen and drink a couple of glasses of Guiness. If I meet someone interesting, that is icing on the cake. | |

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 6:44:39 PM | | Depends on what the guy is there for. If he's there to watch his team play and you got his team's jersey on yes you'll get noticed. If he's there to pick up someone then maybe that's not the best apparel. I say if you want to get noticed, be approachable, and don't be afraid to approach a guy. | |

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 6:50:58 PM | Are you serious? This is what your really worrying about. PLEASE! Nobody gives a rats a**, it's a frickin sports bar. It does'nt matter. | |

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 7:04:37 PM | | I like seeing women wearing grass hula skirts and coconut bras, at sports bars. With pearls and sensible pumps. And a small black clutch purse that never goes out of style. I usually have to close my eyes to see a woman dressed that way. | |

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 7:16:02 PM | You are a woman entering a sports bar... just by being there, you will get attention... If you are wearing team apparel, even better...
Hoot and Hollar when the home team scores, and you are a Goddess.

| what to wear to the sports bar Posted: 11/20/2007 7:52:43 PM | | Jeans and a casual, loose-fitting shirt. Casual shoes or sneakers. Wearing high heels with jeans in a sports bar "is hideous". | |
