| Expat dating!!
Posted: 11/23/2007 12:39:24 AM | I'm living as an expat in Indonesia at the moment, great experience & great job...just one problem: A shortage of expat women to date!
For some male Westerners it's a dating paradise, but the local women half my age do nothing for me, I much prefer the company of a gorgeous Western woman closer to my age group.
I'm just wondering about anybody out there who's lived as an expat in a foreign country, especially the women. If you don't want to date a local, what other options are there? | |

The locals were a bit of a no no, considering that HIV is so prevalent and for the same reason some of the longstanding male expats who had been around the local ladies were off the agenda too. In any case most were settled with wives and families. Then you had the short term expats who were unfortunately likely to be in another country when you next blinked. Not good news - for me, anyway! | |

Posted: 12/2/2007 1:18:53 PM | haha...there's not many options left...i lived in indonesia for 3 years, and then I just happened to meet the love of my life on a soccer field, up in banda aceh....
my advice...play soccer! lol...also there are many expat places in indonesia, expecially jakarta, and its not too hard to find expat women in the bigger cities. Also hang around ESL schools...tons of female english teachers there...lol
