| Profile Review? Posted: 11/23/2007 5:39:40 PM | I was hoping someone might be able to take the time to peek at my profile and take a look at it? Is there something lacking, or perhaps, I have spoken a little too much? Let me know. And I already know about the pictures, I need to get better ones, that is one of the things on my list. A picture is worth a 1000 words isn't it?
One last question, I have been kind of looking around, sending messages to people, hoping to chat to a few. I have talked to a few of the ladies here, but a lot of them seem to ignore me. Would you say that I haven't actually moved to the area yet playing a big role in it? I am currently reside in Oklahoma, but am making plans to move to Florida, possibly by this X-Mas.

| Profile Review? Posted: 11/23/2007 5:46:28 PM | For me it's all a little too negative and serious. Lighten it up a bit, focus on the positive aspects of yourself instead of the negatives. Make it a bit more chatty if you can.
The best thing you can do is look at other men's profiles, steal some ideas and customise them for yourself if you have to!
Don't worry at the lack of "success" or responses, it's all part of internet dating.

| Profile Review? Posted: 11/23/2007 5:53:22 PM | Too sappy and melodramatic, also way too brutally honest. At this point your job is to hook the women in, not talk them into marriage, so let your flaws come out naturally before turning away potential matches with them now. Come off as confident, and throw in some humor. Focus right now on attracting a woman, which means dropping off the self-defeating attitude and focosing on the positive. Later after you hook one if they were meant for you then they will help you work out your issues. At this point you're a complete stranger who comes off as needy and desperate and that will only turn women away. It's all about attitude, when you give off that you think lowly of yourself so will women. All drop the chivalrous my heart will be yours stuff, it only works in chick flicks and coffee houses, go for humor instead. I tell you this because not many guys go for humor, but every other guy on here posts the whole "nice guy" spiel.
Sorry if I sound harsh, I may be young but this is stuff I discovered through experience.

| Profile Review? Posted: 11/23/2007 6:05:26 PM | | and I have to ask, how do you bold certain parts of your profile? | |
|
| Profile Review? Posted: 11/23/2007 6:09:53 PM | | Thanks I have taken a lot of this into consideration. I used bold text as a way to try and high light certain areas of my body of text, to try and make it a little easier to read. I have seen some profiles that looked like a train wreck. | |
