The UK has a binge drinking culture and everybody loves a drink it seems at the weekend..
Question is whats you limit on Alcohol consumption? how much is can you handle?
are you a Barry Austin? a light weight?

Or until I'm unconscious. Whichever happens first, really.

Lmao, I can handle the drinking ok, it's the hangover afterwards I have a problem with. I had something to cellebrate yesterday so I grabbed a couple of on the way home. I wish I hadn't.

Posted: 11/28/2007 8:50:20 AM | Funny one this.........some days I'm the archetypal shandy drinking southerner whose girlfriend can drink him under the table. Get me on another day and I can drink and drink practically without effect.
Also depends on climate. In hot countries I can drink beer after beer with no effect except a little tipsyness.
Vodka redbull I can drink till I'm pissing the stuff.............but the hangover is from HELL! | |

I am sure my tolerance levels are a lot less now and I rarely drink more than a couple of glasses of ANYTHING. Besides, where's the fun in a hangover? What I cannot handle is the total and complete W4NKER I become and the dissaproval of all those around me so I tend to stop drinking after I have completed the first stage of becoming a fool (usually ending up with a slapped face of course)  | |

Posted: 11/28/2007 10:11:15 AM | Not much at all. I will freely admit to being a proper lightweight. If I am on a night out I will have a couple and then on to the softs. I hate hangovers and the waste of the next day 'cause I'm feeling rough.

If I know I'm going to be in for a long session I'll drink bacardi because I seem to be able to tolerate it but like minxxy I hate being hungover so try and stop before I get to the 'gonna feel like shite tomorrow' stage.
Vodka red bull gives me pains across my chest and shoulders and Im not alone here. I know people who've ended up in hospital worried they're having a heart attack but its something to do with the turin it contains. | |

i must say i used to drink this every weekend and drank about a litre a night with the red bull but i never seemed to get a hangover really, uncomfy bottie yes but no hangover
i very rarely drink now only twice in the last couple of months and 4 pints will do to make me merry and thats all i really want now | |

Its when it takes over your life its dangerous. My dad was an alcoholic, my step dad died of alcohol poisioning (amongst other illnesses that the drinking probably didnt help). Iv seen peoples lives wrecked by it when i worked in a hostel for homeless people and following a recent encounter with an alcoholic friend who turned against me i think in answer to the question how much can i handle, i would have to say in small does please. Not just for me but people that matter to me too, will stear clear of aloholics and any other addicts in future.
Those who rely on alcohol can not only hurt themselves but those who care about them too. | |

Like others there are days I can drink loads and others when I'm more of a lightweight. Wine and pints get me quicker than vodka etc.
There was a time when I was a student that I would drink 2 bottles of red wine before I even left the house! Couldn't and wouldn't do that now. | |
