| Travel groups for singles Posted: 12/13/2007 12:49:58 PM | | HI..I am looking for possible travel companions or groups that are for single travel other than cruises. I live on VAncouver Island so groups from here or Vancouver would work..also groups going to Spiritual Sites would interest me as well. | |

Is the only link I've found so far for singles. But it seems that travel companies are seeing it as a growing trend and providing more services

| Travel groups for singles Posted: 5/6/2008 2:57:07 AM | Maybe try one of the buslines touring companies like Greyline. A guy I know drives for them and some tours through B.C. and Alberta he usually does are up to 2 weeks long. They probably have other offerings. Good luck! | |

I've found this website, prices go all over the place and some seem good while others do not. Haven't tried it yet.

| Travel groups for singles Posted: 5/12/2008 9:34:59 PM | | I'm thinking you might want to be careful about travelling with groups that are marketed towards singles...you may end up with travelling companions that are there more for the hook-up than the adventure of the trip! And if there's no one in the group you're interested in you could spend your time fending off unwanted advances, to put it nicely! I recently went on a trip with my two sons to Guatemala with Gap Adventures (add dot com for the website) and had a fantastic time. It turns out that most of the people in the group of ten were single...although the only hook up was between my 16 yr old son and the 20 yr old Swiss girl! But you meet people from all over who are there for the enjoyment of travelling...if you meet someone great, if not you'll still have had a wonderful adventure, and likely made some great friends. | |

| Travel groups for singles Posted: 5/15/2008 3:51:52 PM | I've tried www.cutetravelmate.com without any luck at all....
As a semi retired, single guy I can decide to go on a trip on Monday and leave Wednesday...because I don't know anyone who can do that I'll try to find a travel mate from time to time....Not as much to save what ever the single supplement fee is but to have someone to share the time away with....meals, the beach and the evenings on any Caribbean Island I've visited are always better when sharing the time...
If I'm being honest I have to say I've never met anyone that lived close enough that we could meet face to face before leaving...and that is almost a must for me...
I'm going to try the single travelers site an earlier poster suggested.....
Hey, anyone want to get a Cuban tan in June?

| Travel groups for singles Posted: 5/16/2008 12:50:08 PM | Here are two cruise companies that do Hosted Singles trips and have room mate matching which work quite well:
www.vacationstogo.com
www.singlecruises.com
I've used vacations to go a couple of times and yes there are a few that go to get hooked up, but most people go just to have a good time and not be around all couples and families. Had an absolute blast on the last one and am going on another one over Halloween this year. Can't wait!

| Travel groups for singles Posted: 5/17/2008 7:01:14 AM | | Hi, I've been looking at GAP Tours for a possible summer get-away, they are on the net. They are an international tour company with an excellent reputation. They will take small groups, for example, through Peru, so all you have to do is show up on location and join the group there. They do not target single people specifically, but travel in small groups. Good luck! | |

| Travel groups for singles Posted: 5/17/2008 7:29:39 PM | Hey
I, too, am looking for travel friends. I am spiritual and want to go back to Sedona.
I have timeshares so accommodations are no problem.

I just came from Cuba last month. If you are an American, it really isn't that difficult to go there on a medical visa and just carry aspirin in your pocket. I highly recommend going there if you have any interest in art and culture, Cuban hospitality is everything it is rumored to be!

| Travel groups for singles Posted: 5/21/2008 3:38:32 PM | I went to Egypt 7 months ago with GAP Adventures...exceeded my expectations, no regrets, and they partner you up with another single traveler of the same sex....
Going to China with them this fall.
