Posted: 12/17/2007 12:55:32 AM | Ok well I am just wondering what are some the better places to meet a man/women these days. I am not one for the bar/club secne, and I know that really any place can be a good place to meet some one.

Posted: 12/17/2007 1:00:45 AM | You can try taking a class.. perfect opportunity. She sees you, you see her.. over the few classes you both will get a feel for one another as you participate. If you take a cooking class you may be paired up with someone new each week, giving you ample oportunity to talk to her and get to know her...

Posted: 12/17/2007 2:08:36 AM | The one that I keep hearing the most is dance classes. Especially right now with all the hype over Dancing With The Stars. And usually there's a lot more women taking these classes than men (naturally), so there will probably be a lot of eager women looking to dance with you.  | |

Dim sum, sushi dinners, bowling, the odds are they will invite a single girl! Or you can take it as an opportunity to invite a girl of your own! (Without seeming desperate or weird) | |

-family video
-the park
-a side walk
-burger king
-a lake
-a hockey game
-skating rink
-pool
-school
-pet store
ditto on all the places where not to hit on someone. Point is, take a leap of faith, open your mouth and go for it. I like it when people talk to me whether I'm interested in a date or not. It just makes for a happier world when we quit being a bunch of pansies and start showing interest in each other. Don't worry about rejection. Just go out and have fun. | |

There is a group of adult singles that meet for a social every wednesday nite, in my town, at the church. i personally have'nt gone and checked it out, but maybe at a later time. Other groups that i have known are like the PWP groups..( parents without partners) they always have something going on to. maybe a small out of the way restaurnt/ diner also. | |

Posted: 12/17/2007 1:44:29 PM | activities/clubs. I am in dragon boat club, probably 65-70% are women. Ski club - a lot of couples but a lot of single women as well. Any type of activity - seems it's mostly women. where are you guys?  | |

And its really hard to continue the conversation when they do say something to me. I don't go to bars or clubs anymore because I feel out of place when I'm there. Even stopped going to parties because of being to shy. So I wish I could tell ya but I don't even know myself where to meet people outside of the net. | |

Posted: 12/17/2007 2:37:03 PM | Right now you are in the best place to meet someone. Your profile says you attend school, and what better place to find someone with the same interests. Instead of just attending classes, get involved in the bashes/parties, the library always has girls in it and there are coffee shops on campus if you drink that stuff.
If you now turn around and tell me you are shy, then I would say.....GROW some BALLS and meet your fears! If you ask someone in person, they can only say NO, they will not hit you, they will not yell at you, they will merely give you an answer.
Try it first and each and everytime it will get easier, I promise!
You have to be pro-active to get what you want and that means every aspect of your life.....so be careful what you want and go and get it!
