some say u must have chemistry immediately otherwise don't date the guy again
others say a person can 'grow' on u and the chemistry comes later
i have had both happen, chemistry asap, chemistry later
the difference has been with the chemistry later guy---when we finally had sex it sucked!!
with the chemistry asap guy, the sex rocked
who do u have the best sex with??

I know within a few minutes if I am attracted to their facial features, their gestures, their laughter, the tone in their voice. I like to think I have good judgment to start off with and I don't wear my heart on my sleeve. I like to get to know the inner person which can stand out beyond looks. I like to know where they've been in their life and where they are heading. As far as sex with no chemistry, boring, dull, and disappointing comes to mind, but again, using good judgment will deter me away from meeting undesirables. | |

Whenever I felt chemistry with someone it happens when they do something or behave a way that just touches my heart. Or, sometimes if the attraction is not immediate there behavior consistently tells me that they are a great catch. It's a build-up of those good feelings. | |

Sexual Chemistry-That 'lust" you feel when you see someone and have to have them. You can have this with people you actually hate (a little bit! Ex-sex anyone?). You have to have some level of sexual chemistry to be attracted to someone.
Relationship Chemistry-That's the "feeling" that grows on you. When you really, really, like them and want it to really work out because you really, really, like them. Relationship chemistry does not always equal sexual chemistry. And there is no faking sexual chemistry.

Hey, he's nice, he's sweet, he is adjusted. lol :) lets do a second date
then onto, he's funny, this is good fun, he aint bad looking. lol etc. and grow on people :) and eventually goes too far and instead of being a fun person to play with, I end up being a potential life partner... :D *shrug*

Now, I'm a bit standoffish of a person, anyhow. I'm not one to just dive into things. So, you have to be around me a bit before I'm going to fire with you.
That's where I think actively seeking dating sucks. Because you're basically running a random sequence of weirdos and praying that one of them ends up being your type -- and that you realize it before the person is gone. | |

In many cases, sex is not the greatest thing on the planet the first time but becomes something amazing as the people discover each other, learn their rhythms, what turns them on. Sex, chemistry, all are unique and maybe what you are talking about is lust, which can produce good sex but it is usually not satisfying over time. Sex with someone else with whom one shares deep feelings may not be as physically fabulous but it blows you away because of the emotion attached to it.
In a perfect world, one has both, and it doesn't matter whether the chemistry was immediately recognizable or if it was something that grew over time. | |

on a more serious note, i once went on a date with a GUY(he'll probably read this cause hes a forum addict) but, he said...there was no "CLICK"....but then he came back for more....whats up with that????
its all depends on the two individuals...someone put the word lust in...yep, anyone can get your rocks off, but ....there is that special someone who can get your rocks off, curl your toes and make you wishing for more...but then....its a DATING site right not a marriage proposal?

After breaking up with him I met my "first" since him on this site actually. I had no idea what I was missing for 20 years. I thought I had a great sex life. But I realized after I actually had sex with someone else, what chemistry meant and how it felt. I have dated 3 guys since my ex and I split up, two of them, well lets just say the chemistry was off the charts, so was the sex. The third....I didn't even let it get that far because there just wasn't chemistry at all. There are probably plenty of people who date and actually have sex with no chemistry....or very little chemistry. For me, I want all the chemistry you can get. You know when it is there, it is raw and passionate and sensual, all those things. I vote for chemistry right away....its the only way to go. | |

Does that mean that if you met a man who had lost his penis in an accident or to a disease that there could be no chemistry?
And is it not possible that your sex for the prior 20 years had just become ordinary and anything that happened with any man NOT your ex would have been extra special and more exciting just because it was fresh?
