David Deangelo "Double Your Dating" - Any feedback?
Posted: 5/22/2005 6:53:37 PM
I read about David Deangelo's dating advice on a few forums and read several of his articles online. His advice is certainly a different approach towards women then I've ever done, but if he's accurate, it does explain why many women tend to prefer guys with "jerk" like characteristics.

In my experience, there is indeed some truth that "jerks get the girls", but there are many women this doesn't apply to. This subject has been debated in many other forums so I'll restrain from any more comments for the time being!

I am wondering if any guys have read his materials and put his advice into action with success.

Furthermore, have any women read his works and what do y'all think of his advice?

Cheers.

Dude that is bull$hit. First of all if your situation is that bad you need a book then there isn't anyone who can help you, especially some stupid book. This David D'angelo is capitalizing on desparate guys. Your best bet if you need help with women is as far as I'm concerned is to ask a chick. Tell them to be forthright with you, and give you the truth. You need to know whats wrong before you can fixing anything.

I certainly do not plan to use his advice in the near future as I think it only applies to a limited amount of guys and a limited amount of women. And no, I don't think my situation is quite so desperate that I need a book of advice...at least not for the next week, LOL, or at my ripe old age having 28 years of gaining widom and knowledge behind me.

I'm just interested if any one has read his writings and what they think of it, as its unlike any dating advice I've ever read, except word of mouth advice from other guys that women like confident guys who'll challenge them and be sarcastic and teasing.

OK yeah, the impression I got from reading Mr. Deangelo's scribblins is that it's bascially about how an average looking guy can get an attractrive women sexually interested in one date.

It gives the impression that a "nice" guy will only ever have women interested in him as a friend, which I think is utter B.S. (at least that's what I keep telling myself...its the only way I can still have hope...hey I can still dream...LOL)

You won't get anywhere with women unless you actually talk to them. Moping in a corner just won't do it. Knowing how to joke and Kid around with them is a must. You have to know how to make friends with them. Women definitely love the attention and they're very playful. Accept the fact that they're very moody and you won't do as well as you hope each time.

Do that, be yourself, and they'll start warming up to you a lot more and you won't need any books.

Ha Ha Ha!!!

OMG!

Yes I am a young apprentice of David "The Man" DeAngelo.

Guys, I don't even know where to begin. It's all about building self confidence within yours selves. Women smell it from miles away.

I know I am no Brad Pitt but, now I can go up to any woman at anytime, anywhere and any place and get her email and phone number inside of 3 minutes.

Without going on for Days about David's stuff, I just finally decided to take back my manhood and be in control of my life in regards to dating.

The guys out here that don't want to read his stuff is fine, because that just leaves more ladies for me........lol.

Good Luck Guys.

If you try to do much of what David Deangelo says that might work for one night stands but that won't help for long term relationships because the real you is going to resurface and it seems to me you have to try to change yourself too much.

Why go overboard trying to be something you're not? Some basic tips fine, but don't overdo it.

For the most part you're better off just being yourself because your true colors are going to come out anyway.

Dude, I understand what you are saying, but i think you are missinghis point.

It is a life changing program, and you can still be who you are inside when the right time comes around.

Do what David Deangelo says in his program, bag the woman, have her fall for you.

THEN be more yourself?

Hmmm..... not sure about this.

He's pretty smart really. HIs stuff isn't ONLY from his own experiejnces, he asks TONS of guys at clubs what has worked, what hasn't etc wect eetc. (He also polled ladies)

He's big on my askmen.com subscription site. I sometimes listen and take his advice, I sometimes laugh and say "my ways better"; like we all do, I'm sure.

If what I've said doesn't work try plan "B"

If you want to get lot's of women to notice you make LOT'S of money. Women regard that as "security" and they love to shop.

Be the "bad boy" type. Women love the exciting bad boy rebel types.

Never be the "nice guy" type and suck up to women. Gets you nowhere. They'll treat you like garbage and run away with a rebel. Be in total control at all times and confident. Boisterous and conceited men always do well with women because they've convinced themselves how good they are and if they believe it so will women.

You have to do all this and change because just being yourself doesn't work any more.

I've read some of it and actually see some good tips.

However I don't think it's right to come across being a c o c k y, smartass, bad boy, jerk type to get the women.

I think some of us would like to see what the women have to say about this now.

from what I understand about it, it has nothing to do with being a bad boy or a jerk. he talks about co cky comedy a lot though.

I can tell you what women have told me about it. Not about what they have read, but more about how I have used his stuff to their amusement and pleasure. Of course I didnt tell them, but they responded well. and when I was a wuss their response was textbook. I wanna learn more.

With men being the usual pursuer the onus seems to be on them but I think in this modern day age, and rapidly changing times someone should write a similar book directed at giving women advice because a lot of them could sure use it too!

below is my response to a 22 yo david deangelo worshipper on another thread

Hey Al paulchino...let me put you straight.....I used to do it in my teens and early twenties....way before ....david d'angelo's**** comedy series existed.....and yeah it works...his advice is contradictory...honestly I think he is full of BS.........(my stupid opinion)

But if you are looking to get laid..and fill up your black book with names...go ahead knock yourself out...
heck youre only 22..........

the reason women are responding is because of yr new found confidence.(false confidence)...invent your own humor...dont use canned humor.........

depends , are you looking for quick lays or a woman who is your equal.
a woman who falls for those lines..after all cannot be very evolved whatever her age.

been there pal - done that

How many of the people in this thread that are criticising DYD have 1) gave the techniques a serious try 2) are currently getting the outcomes they desire with women?

Just wondering.

Yes, advice is don't waste your time and money learning to be a 'player'. As the word has spread among women who have since picked up this idiotic book and read it cover to cover.

Anyone who simply is NOT genuine will get the boot...and the moment I pick up on any indication of DD's tactics, you get kicked to the curb. See ya! Wouldn't want to be ya!

Read "The Game" by Neil Strauss. He even mentions meeting David Deangelo. Neil Strauss doesn't brainwash you and he even states in his book that it's just best to pick up a few things that work for you. But at the end of the book he says the only way to win the game is to leave the game.
