This thread was started in response to any of the following
1. the thread about the woman who didn't like paying for a 2 buck sprite.
2. the thread about a woman not wanting to pay for a round of drinks for 2 people.
3. the "drove 60 miles for a coffee thread and didn't even get lunch!" thread.
4. the date from hell thread- which really wasn't.
5. first date expecting dutch.. 1.5 year old thread brought back to life..

maybe a maple stake thru it's heart to kill this beast?
6. all the men who complained on those threads about always being expected to pay.
7. some women who posted called these guys " cheapo's and " losers"
8. some women who posted called other women with a "fair play" type of view a bunch of skanky classless ho's with no self respect as they should hold out for a guy who will pay for the alleged benefit of her presence at a restaurant.
9. the men took offense at this- they referred to such women as high sense of entitlement and acting like a 'princess'. it was pretty much agreed upon that princess describes it.
10. some of the guys went overboard in their argument as well. some took a few people down with them when the ship sank.
All of these threads are going to end up just like the thread that is now closed. endless debates going nowhere with some people slagging the people with the different point of view. emphasis only- not screaming.
The same players are on all of them.
All of these threads are essentially about a couple of things: expectations and communication. That view point gets drowned out in the clatter.
Do as you wish.

Title: invited a woman to drive 60 miles for a cup of coffee!!
THis entire thread was a farce as the title was misleading. Don't bother reading thru it to find the pertinent details. Chinese water torture comes to mind.
It was just a rant about expecting to have things bought for you yet not really communicating well: Two people who simply didn't click yet it became something more after people started posting.
It collapsed onto itself by the weight of " women should never pay for anything" crowd versus " whatever happened to two people sharing equally " . And the princess crowd versus the serfs.
Whatever needed to be said about buying women drinks/food and those women who expect it has been said on this thread.
Hopefully no one find this before you can close it. If that is what you choose to do.

it appears that the woman was sort of scammed into paying for 'her share" of a vacation to which she actually was invited. Hard to tell as we never get the full story...

anyway.. it too has fallen into the abyss of " all men must pay PERIOD. " versus " if the women were to ask and pay, no one would ever date" crowd.
same thing, different verse but the chorus is still singing the same tune.

it really wasn't even a date from hell... she may have been 'stiffed' for 15 bucks on a 60 buck tab with a 10 buck tip. she later gives more info... as usual..
its been up for a week and it has 20 pages.
this issue is very polarizing. same players on this one as well..
Main Issue for Possible violation:
has fallen into the abyss: men are gentleman if they pay, women don't pay as their presence is enough, people who disagree with those ideas are arguing their points with those that do agree. and the contrary arguments exist as well.
