New Year's resolutions?

I'm wondering if anyone has made a New year's resolution that they've fulfilled? If yes, what was it? For 2008, do you have a New Year's resolution? If yes, what is it? Do you think that by writing down your resolution, you'll have a higer percentage of actually fulfilling it? (Hopefully, this thread is 200 words - the minimum required for a new thread).

I've never really made any new years resolutions. I suppose if there is something I want to do or should do that I feel there is never a better time than the present, why wait till the new year?

I'm 36 and have never made a New Year's resolution.

If I were to make one it would most certainly be to stop being so damn single...

Get in a relationship or get out of Seattle......neither is gonna happen.... I am considered too boring for the women here and I was never one to run away from my problems either so here is a real one:

Try and leave my dead end overworked and underpaid job at Macy's and actually get a job with what 40,000 dollars and 6 years with no social life is support and a scrap of paper called a college degree is suppose to get me: a real job.

The rest will fall into place I hope. Happy New Year everyone.

I have a few for 2008.

1st, to place in the top 3 in a strongman competition
2nd, get placed in a good job after getting out of the navy
3rd, be more open to meeting new women (whether or not I do meet them, just be more open to it by going out more and putting myself in a position to meet them)

To take my new (to me) H-D Softtail Classic to new and as yet unseen places, back roads, country small towns at least once if not twice a month. Time to find that freedom again...

best wishes to all for a New Year!

Those are very good -- and probably do-able!

The last resolution I made and KEPT was to get divorced! Yay me!!! But that was 8 years ago. Perhaps I should think of something else to do!

Well, I did achieve ONE goal -- moving to Tacoma. Got rid of the commute.

Now -- like all of us here, I guess it's to find True Love! Or a reasonable facsimile!

Happy '08 to all!

Nah, I hate starting out the year lying to myself.
