Did you ever notice that ..as a woman gets older, she tends to wear more clothing? I don't mean the everyday stuff like coats in cold weather. I mean longer skirts, and throat high tops regardless of the weather.!

And regardless of the body too. Seems that the quality of the body displayed does't count as much as the age of the body. Young blubberballs with flesh and rolls spilling everywehre but older atheletes, with perfect bodies coveringthem from head to foot.

I think cloting just gets in the way of a good cuddle.
I do like a nice outfit , but wearng tents can be irritating.

So
Guys - Do you like skimpy clothing on older high quality bodies? or don't you?
Girls- What with the skin game? Do you think it looks more "feminine"

Cloting as in clotted cream?
As in I have a platelet issue?
Sorry dude, it just stood out.
I don't know about the clothing issue. I've always worn longer skirts and shirts that cover my arms and midriff (even when I was a young blubberball).

Hmm. I do notice some older women wearing boxy-looking outfits, but it's impossible to know if those particular women also covered up a lot when they were younger, no matter what their body type then or now. Same as younger women. Lots of exposed skin around, of course, but others - regardless of body type - wear layers upon layers of stuff. Just different comfort levels or personal style, I've always thought.

I've always been selective about the skimpiness of my clothing. I never had an inclination to expose much cleavage (such as it is), but I'm one of those incorrigibles who refuses to follow the "rules" about skirt length for oldies. So some of my skirts are fairly skimpy.

No matter where I go or what I am wearing I get "Cougar" comments. Turtle neck tops or not and regardless of the fact I have no interest in pups.

When women get older, they realize that men are interested or not usually based on the face and basic body shape (with a sprinkling of personality). We don't need to parade naked.

I've always been a cover up everything gal except on the few rare occasions. With my boyfriend though when at home, we just grab a blanket for warmth and cuddle without clothes.

If people don't want me to stay in sweaters year-round they need to stop setting their thermostats so cold.

As to why older women cover more....you forget that the population as a whole has gotten less modest about clothing. Todays youth shows more skin than the youth of 50 years ago.

Depends on the woman, age or body shape does not matter as it is the individual tastes and what a guy finds attractive.

I.e the older secretary or school teacher look really floats my button, because it is such a feminine look. Wheras the wearing turtlnecks and jeans can also be very attractive because it leaves a lot to the imagination

It's not the case here: there are plenty of older women who wear skimpy low cut tops, even to work, in the summer. Most women seem to wear far too little in my opinion, in situations where it is entirely inappropriate for them to be exposing themselves too (e.g. mature woman teaching teenage boys with all her crinkly cleavage on display).

Personally, over the years I have matured from the kid who was unconscious of her body and sexuality and who would therefore happily run around in shorts and a t-shirt because of the feeling of physical freedom; into a woman who is aware of her body and sexuality and who has no wish to attract attention of that nature and who therefore covers herself up because of the freedom associated with not being objectified.

Other women's responses to changes in their awareness will result in different choices depending on what motivates them and on how they perceive themselves and the world. Many girls and young women see their sexuality as being key to their value in society, so will use their sexuality to gain the maximum value they can, until their views on the matter change.

Another factor is that older women feel the cold more (until they reach menopause): circulation tends to be poorer, activity levels tend to be lower etc, so warmer clothes become a physical comfort. Also, skin loses its lustre as people age; so whilst it may be easy to maintain an athletic profile, it is less easy to maintain skin that glows with the vitality of youth.

As for cuddling and clothing, buy your next girlfriend a cashmere sweater. Nothing is more cuddly than that.

Skimpy cloting? I’m a lover, not a bleeder!

Wearing a tent is only irritating if you forget to remove the stakes.

I don't feel my clothes are skimpy, but I do like to wear clothes that show off that I stay in good shape. My clothes for work are usually suits, but my play clothes are skinny jeans, boots, sweaters in winter, and short shorts, and short summer dresses and high heels when it is warmer. I don't wear low cut shirts, skimpy see through clothes, or clothes that leave nothing to the imagination.
I did not wear clothes like that when I was younger, simply because that was not the style then.

If you have the body to wear more revealing clothing ,then by all means go for it no matter what age you are. You can still wear clothes that show off some skin and not look like a hooker though. There is a way to do it tastefully.

"Ladies" in the office are banned from wearing skimpy clothes. They are asked to go home and change to more presentable clothing.

Femininity can be displayed without showing a lot of cleavage and legs. My life does not revolve around leering eyes trying to peep under my skirt...

I refuse to wear granny clothes, but still have to dress appropriately for my age. Feminine look and feel can be achieved wearing sexy clothes , long flowing skirts, or a nice sun dress. Depends on how a woman carries herself and how she feels and moves in that outfit. Last night at downtown NY eve celebration, I saw young women wearing 4-5 inch heels and skimpy dresses almost showing their crotch that they were struggling to walk. That's not feminine to me. I try to dress for the occassion and the type of company I'm with. I think wearing clothing that are too skimpy or not right for your body would attract the wrong kind of audience. I still wear lil black dresses, mini-skirts, short shorts, tube or spaghetti strapped shirts depending on the occassion. When going to work or church, no need to be showing skin there!

Tube tops and daisy dukes are going to look silly on a 40 year old, I don't care how physically fit she is.

Just like a half shirt would look silly on me.

Oh when you travel to UAE it is better to put on yourself as much close and you can if you are a female unless you want to have a problem with local authorities....
