| 5 year age gap !!!! loads of feedback please !!!! Posted: 1/1/2008 10:32:06 AM | | I don’t see 5 years an age gap, either way. I used to have a preference for older men till I met the one who matched me to perfection. 1 year younger. So my vote is yes, go for it. | |

| 5 year age gap !!!! loads of feedback please !!!! Posted: 1/1/2008 10:37:40 AM | Everyone has some criteria or another, be it weight, age, height etc. As far as I'm concerned, I've been dating the early 40s lately and when I was 20 I went out with a 38 year old, so odviously age isn't one of my hang ups :) Do whats good for both of you.
Cheers! Ron | |

| 5 year age gap !!!! loads of feedback please !!!! Posted: 1/1/2008 11:29:43 AM | I think love is a wonderful thing & too often difficult to find... you should both go for it if & only if, she finds the comfort level with it so that it is no longer an issue for her

We both agree we really connect and are like soul mates to eachother and decided that dating a few more times will ease her mind and then she will give us a try !!! it is a fear for her that she has never dated anyone younger and is worried in 5-10 years im still younger looking to run off with a younger woman !!! and as i explained to her 5 years older than me is the perfect combination , i have dated many younger woman and like you said are looking for a baby maker or a father figuire !!! i would like to thank you for your time and effort to reply and if you have anymore feedback or advice please feel free to share it with us many thank simon and debs

Who cares about ages?
But if spelling, grammar and the English language (which some people use to communicate) are important, she should dump you now,
Perhaps, before taking the time to criticise someone else's grammar, you might stop to consider that sentences are usually terminated with a full stop, or period if you prefer?

No, I don’t think it would. – Not now. I’ll admit to having some of those thoughts, though. - Years ago, when my younger sister married a man 10 years her junior. He was a great guy and I could feel the connection between them and I think he loved her very much. Still I was a little worried for her and these are some of the thoughts I had: Would they get problems socially? Would he feel intimidated by her friends who were older? Would they accept and respect him as her equal partner? Would she feel awkward and like an “oldie” around his friends? – And would they tease him? How about ageing? 10 –15 years ahead. I thought about her as 49 with a 39-year-old husband. How would that make her feel? Would the relationship be strong enough and trusting enough to carry such a big age-difference (the “wrong” way) in the long run? – Not to speak of the time when he hits the midlife crisis. Maybe these are some of the thoughts your partner is having. Or maybe it’s just what you say: That it’s an issue that you LOOK younger than your age. Making the difference between you bigger in OTHER PEOPLES EYES. No, I would not have considered that an issue. And as I said before, 5 years is not an age difference to speak of in my opinion. As it happened in my sisters marriage: Everything seemed to level out over the years and nobody ever thinks about it any more. Best wishes for the two of you

| 5 year age gap !!!! loads of feedback please !!!! Posted: 1/1/2008 5:45:25 PM | | To be honest, I would be very happy to be dating someone who was five years younger than me. I wouldn't care if you looked young- i look very young myself. Most people that meet me are shocked to find out that I am 38...I have had people guess as young as 27 recently (yay me!) Love it! My ex husband was 7 years older than me and we were together for 17 years. Life is too short to put a number on things. Please tell her to go out on a date with you and give it a shot. Honestly what do you have to loose? Or does she? Good luck! | |

| 5 year age gap !!!! loads of feedback please !!!! Posted: 1/1/2008 6:04:20 PM | | A five year age difference isn’t a gap; it’s a cranny. You get along great and each considers the other soul mate material. You’d throw a connection like that away all because of five measly years? This isn’t a May-December romance; it’s a June-August, tops. Now, hold hands you lovebirds! | |

| 5 year age gap !!!! loads of feedback please !!!! Posted: 1/1/2008 8:46:12 PM | A 5 year age gap is no big deal at the ages that you named. However, everyone has certain preferences and this is not really something that others can truly answer for you both. She has to decide for herself if the age gap is going to complicate the relationship for her or not. If it will, then the age gap is too great no matter what others think. Ask her what she really feels about you period, as if she never knew your age. If she says that she really likes you and would not even be considering the age gap if she just knew you for who you are, then age gap is and should not be a issue.
Good luck to you both. | |

| 5 year age gap !!!! loads of feedback please !!!! Posted: 1/1/2008 10:38:09 PM | Age doesn't matter when it comes to dating or marriage for that matter. If you are attracted to each other, I say go for it!! Five years isn't that much at all!!! My sis in law was 12 years older tham my bro, they were happily married for 13 years. My sis has passed away but they were happy and they got along great.
Give it a try, you guys are adults, why not?!! Good Luck!
