| Lock me in the stocks and critique this profile, please! Posted: 1/7/2008 3:30:51 AM | Morning, ladies and gents. How are you all doing? Please take a look at my profile and let me know what I could improve on. The number of responses I've gotten is abysmally lower than I expected (only 1). However, I'm still very new to online dating in general.
Anyway, what do you think? If I were to critique myself just now, I'd say that my profile stands out as extremely nerdy, LOL, and perhaps too detailed. On the other hand, that reflects my personality pretty well, so I'm just being honest there.

I am going to say (in the nicest possible way) I think you have said WAY too much in your profile :) You have tried to cover everything, left little to the imagination. I believe that you should shorten it.....alot ;) And very definately, get some humour into it, put some pics of you smiling there. Even just write a short story on something funny that's happened to you :) In short, a smiley pic, chop about half off the 'about me'. Good luck :)

I don't have OCD like Adrian Monk (from the show "Monk"), if that's what you mean. I don't make my bed everyday, and my clothes aren't hung in my closet all color-coordinated and ordered by fabric quality. However, to quote from the 1964 film "Becket": if it's worth doing, it's worth doing well. To me, it's only natural to make a personal profile as complete as possible. I've seen many complaints about how the Internet doesn't allow people to really see "into" each other. Therefore, it made sense to make a profile that really captured the essence of my personality in the best way I could.
I've also noticed a lot of complaints about profiles which are no more than 2 or 3 lines of text, which don't express anything unique whatsoever, and which look like they were composed by 5-year olds.
If more people agree with you than not, though, I'll see about cutting stuff out. Smiling pics... I need to find some.
