Site is being spammed with fake profiles

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but for the past two days when I click on "New Users", the list of new user signups in my area are flooded by a large number of identical scam profiles with different user names. I figure I'd let you guys know something foul is afoot.

I have been noticing something weird too...Lately, I have seen several profiles of women who are mostly looking for sex, no-strings attached.. must be discreet.. most of their profiles are almost identical, and the all seem to have this phrase in their profile.... "yplace without the numbers". I was curious to see what sort of response I would get from one, and i received an instantaneous (auto-reply) telling me to send her a note on a yahoo account...the next day her profile was gone from POF....beware!
