| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/8/2008 5:09:00 PM | Why would a guy delete his profile after emailing back and forth quite a bit? Just wondering. I assume it's an ***hole thing. If not please correct me. Searched and couldn't find it. So if this is old news sorry! Thanks | |

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/8/2008 5:17:00 PM | | there is a lot of nonsense on this site that one gets tired of dealing with occassionally and says that's it i've had enough and just poof gone...i have done it. not with the intention of leaving anyone in the lurch, but something happens that just pi$$es you off too bad on one day and you hit that delete button. | |

Why would a guy delete his profile after emailing back and forth quite a bit? The most obvious reason: he likely wasn't as interested in you, as you were in him.
Things like that happen to everyone on this site at some point.
I assume it's an ***hole thing. If every single person on this site, who had someone lose interest in them after a couple of emails, started a new forum thread just to call the other person an "***hole": there'd be nothing in these forums except several million threads, by everyone on this site, calling everyone else on this site an "***hole".
If you're going to use this method of trying to get to know people, you should get thicker skin.

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/8/2008 6:38:49 PM | ^^^^^ She's new and cute, so cut her some slack
I've done it before, after I found out that the name I was using was showing up in the top 10 on google. Others had the name on different sites, but being a big mouth in the forum here pushed me to the top. (And the others weren't very active) So, since most of what I put here is ridicules, I would rather not have a global audience in on the fact that I'm an idiot.
I wasn't communicating seriously with anyone, and someone gave me a good excuse to blow the old ID away, so I did. I used to be Doobiebro. Just another sad tale.

I assume it's an ***hole thing. Of course you assume THAT. All I see is one more woman that chooses to think that "male" is synonymous with "asshole" so that she can fill her vapid life with some kind of fabricated sense of superiority .

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/8/2008 7:11:56 PM | | Maybe he had some small bit of common sense left and it was screaming at him to stop wasting time here when he could be out doing something rewarding and worthwhile. | |
|
| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/8/2008 7:43:28 PM | | Somebody drove him off because she didn't want to take no for an answer? Too many chics were getting on his back at once? Personal life made dating and everything associated with it a non-priority? Nobody seemed to be getting where he was coming from? Thought he may have found someone....All of the above. | |

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/8/2008 9:10:53 PM | | Some people can't be straight forward. I think it was his idea of politely indicating he didn't wish to communicate with you or someone else further. Some people like to beat around the bush ;) | |
|
| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/8/2008 9:35:25 PM | | maybe you scared him off??? no seriously, are you stalking him?? ok time to be serious... He might have gotten sick of this sight. Could have removed the profile because someone called him on it. Maybe he just made a new profile that people do not know him on (without pictures). The reasons are endless, guess I would need more info. | |

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/9/2008 9:12:06 AM | I realize you are new to this site but just remember everything you post can be tracked. This might cause you some grief in the future if someone is interested in you. Happy | |

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/9/2008 9:25:20 AM | Maybe he had in his will all his profiles on dating sites were to be deleted upon his becoming one of the dearly departed...
Which could have happened if his wife caught him...

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/9/2008 9:36:40 AM | I had a woman do that to me once when her husband found out she was on here. At least she called and told me why. I had no idea she was married. Can you believe it......and she wanted to keep things going somewhere else!
I realize you are new to this site but just remember everything you post can be tracked Isn't it just the last 25 posts?

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/9/2008 9:37:39 AM | Well it could be he was working for the CIA or NSA and got all the incriminating information he needed to wire tap your phone and put you under 24 hour surveillance.
Look out your window and see if there is a utility van parked at the corner.

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/9/2008 10:03:43 AM | | It's possible that you were only one of a couple of girls that he was dealing with and that he decided to take himself off the site after committing to someone else. I could be wrong but that is the first thing that comes to mind. | |

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/9/2008 11:31:48 AM | A few potential reasons I can think off right now:
1) Wife or gf found out or was about to find out about an illicit account.
2) Accident
3) Into you but not too into you and didn't know you can block users.

| Why would a guy delete his profile Posted: 1/9/2008 12:24:04 PM | I've had that happen 3 times.
The first time we were discussing hockey. We were both fans of the same team (that this city hates with a passion). In my next email, I was about to ask if she wanted to go to a local bar and boo the local team but I came online to find out poof, gone. No reason why. She recreated her profile later which I ended up coming across, but didn't bother to contact her again.
The second time we communicated back and forth several times, and then wake up the next morning, poof, gone.
The third time more recently I sent an email, she responded the following day, but by the time I had read the message, she deleted her account. She had been getting razzed on the forums about a topic she started, and I suppose she just had enough of it.
In all three cases, there was no email sent to let me know to contact them via another method. When you delete your account, all messages you've received get deleted as well, but any you've sent out stick around until the person decides to delete them.
Guys aren't the only ones who do that. All the reasons mentioned already could be valid reasons
