| Bean Dip - any favorite recipes out there Posted: 1/11/2008 12:05:12 AM | I've been making a favorite bean dip for years with turkey burger, taco seasoning, Velveeta cheese (3/4 large stick), cream cheese and refried beans (large can) mixed together. Everyone loves it when I make it. One time I forgot the cream cheese and added a added a can of chili sauce instead and it still tasted great.
I would love to see other favorite recipes posted here.
Thanks in advance,

| Bean Dip - any favorite recipes out there Posted: 1/11/2008 1:17:24 AM | I'm just wondering why you call this "bean dip"? Is it because it has canned refried beans in it? Why not call it taco turkey dip? Or the obvious, cheese dip?
After 3/4 of a large stick of Velveta, and cream cheese, and taco seasoning, and turkey burger, and then a can of beans, how does it become "bean dip"?
Here is a great recipe for Garlic bread with cheese.
Melt 2lb's of Velveta, one pack of cream cheese, add garlic (to taste), drop in a bag of croutons.

| Bean Dip - any favorite recipes out there Posted: 1/11/2008 6:38:29 AM | I have to admit that your's is up a notch.
We always cook refried beans with big family dinners.. The real deal not canned Left over refried beans become bean dip the next day with the addition of one package of creme cheese, a half a cup of very hot sauce, also home made, and then sprinkle with shredded Sargentos cheese. WONDERFUL!
I have never added meat to it but I will give it a shot next time, nothing is worse than a cook who wont experiment!

| Bean Dip - any favorite recipes out there Posted: 1/11/2008 7:51:45 AM | Here's a dip I've been making for years and every time I serve it, people clamor for the recipe! It's called Kick-Off Dip:
1 19-oz. can Wolfe brand chili (no beans)
1 lb. Velveeta cheese (cubed)
1/2 cup Pace picante sauce (or any other brand of hot sauce you prefer)
Empty chili into 1-quart sauce pan. Add cubed Velveeta cheese and picante sauce. Heat on medium-low for 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently until cheese is melted. Let cool and serve with tortilla chips.

| Bean Dip - any favorite recipes out there Posted: 1/11/2008 10:34:58 AM | Mmmm, sobeit that sounds yummy thanks for the ideas! I love the very hot sauce addition, have added some of that on occasion but not much. Glad to have anyone post here with there favorites and suggestions.
Mahrvide, your recipe is good too thanks for suggesting!
Seaspot, we've just called it bean dip for years. I looked up my ingredients online yesterday in hopes to see the exact same recipe we've been using but with no luck or title for it. Strange that you can't seem to call a 32 oz can can of refried beans worthy enough to call it bean dip though but to each their own. I appreciate your suggestion with the garlic bread. That sounds good too! Thanks!

| Bean Dip - any favorite recipes out there Posted: 1/23/2008 11:23:06 PM | I have a couple different ones. I'll post them easiest to more difficult, lol, they are so easy!
1. 1 jar of your fave. salsa. 1 can of refried beans 1/2 of a big thing of velveeta cheese.
I put them into my crock pot on low and stir often until it's all melted together. Yummo.
2. Same as above, but add in taco meat.
3. 1 pound hamburger browned 1 package of taco seasoning 1/2 - 3/4 velveeta cheese 1 small can of green chillis dash of garlic salt dash of worshishire sauce dash of hot sauce 1 can of tomatoe sauce Put them all into a crock pot or fondue pot, or whatever... melt together slowly and stir. It's outstanding and rich in flavor. Yummo.
