| New feature on POF Posted: 1/11/2008 2:57:54 PM | Two new questions have appeared in the profile. Do you have a car and what's your income. So far, it does not appear to show up on the profile view but I will wait and see. I am guessing it will be for matching. I wonder how honest the answers will be now. What are your thoughts? | |

| New feature on POF Posted: 1/11/2008 3:20:17 PM | If I am required to put my income on a dating site,it just "AIN'T "gonna happen...
My income is personal, it stays personal. No one but the person you have already met and have started a relationship with should be privy to one's income. And I m not sure it's safe to reveal the income then.
I read a message posted here on POF left by a nosy person wanting SS numbers and Credit cards and all debts revealed. I think the person fell from a wagon hittting their head. Only a fool will reveal such information to strangers.

| New feature on POF Posted: 1/11/2008 3:21:10 PM | | While I don't have a car I do have access to one, not sure if I'll answer that because of the confusion it may cause. As far as income goes, I never have nor will I ever disclose the amount of money I make. I personally don't think it's the general public's business. | |

| New feature on POF Posted: 1/11/2008 3:58:14 PM | | I'm not surprised by the new addition, but I agree with you all thus far. My income is my business no one elses UNLESS I choose to share it. I don't think the vehichles question is that big a deal though.. but I see little reason for it. It's just as easy to ask someone what they drive when you're getting to know them. | |

| New feature on POF Posted: 1/12/2008 5:38:42 PM | I agree with others, my income is my business and I may share it with those I choose to meet...etc..not before then...
As far as the car goes...I recently broke up with a guy partly because of this....he always seemed to show up at my door or at my job...but never with at car....and when we went out, I always drove and he had me drop him off in an alley with no apparant destination....it bothered me....and when asked about it...his answer was...his room was at the back...so the alley was convenient....it still bothers me....he was a cool guy....but when too many things bother you.....you learn to move on....so I have.
My answers will always be honest...as I feel there is no other policy...and if I feel the other person is dishonest in any way, without an acceptable explanation.....he will be by the wayside...as the person in the above example.
I just won't condone being lied to.

| New feature on POF Posted: 1/12/2008 10:07:36 PM | I dont mind telling people what my income is.. most are absolutely shocked and in awe!!! it is pitiful.. but i dont "play on that" atho maybe more folks would go to more school board meetings and advocate for the "underdog" if it were more public...
as far as what i drive.. or what he may drive.. it doesnt matter.. I've seen Caddie parked in front of shacks.. and old beat up Fords in front of mulit story homes.. so what? what i care about is.. can i put the key in it.. and it start.. will it not just get me to where i am going.. but back also.. Mercedes or Mustang.. I dont care! I am out of the loop as far as TV goes but did set up some "rabbit ears" with my time off during the holidays and saw the commercials from Cadillac and other car dealerships and did wonder.. does any man ever buy their woman a whole vehicle for Christmas???? I was confused about the audience that market was targetting... i guess it must happen and im in the dark ages! lol..
