| Fiance says Party to get it out of your system You have 16 days. Posted: 1/16/2008 12:54:03 AM | | In your opinion if your (she) fiance said to (male)you I am going on vacation with my parents for 2 1/2 weeks and I can see that you are still itching to "play the field" before we walk down the isle (in less than a year)......and they said to you ....you have two weeks to get it out of your system before I get back, I don't care what you do as long as you are careful...... how would you react? Would you jump at the opportunity to party? Or would you think twice about it and wonder if it is a test of your loyalty to her? By the way this happened to a friend of mine..... | |

In principle it's like giving unlimited grog to an alcoholic in the hope it will cure his addiction. Just my 2 cents worth......
I don't envisage having a finance that has to ask me this question. but if you haven't guessed I would carry on as usual.

My thoughts exactly. I have never met this girl but I get the feeling either she's getting cold feet or is trying to determine whether my friend is really in love with her enough to make the jump into marriage. They have already set a date for the end of this year but I thought when he told me he was getting married that things were a bit rushed. I honestly don't believe either of them are ready from the sounds of it, not to mention the fact they are only 20 and 22.

Sorry I'm a bit confused here, which isn't unusual for me. I honestly hope she is getting cold feet. 16 days of swinging it isn't going to do squat to help the marriage or get anything out of anyones system. In fact it might just give him more to compare his newly wed with. So I'd hope she was "testing" him like the others suggested. and if you have to do that with your finance it's not looking too promising. I hope she sees the light while she can. Cheers

First, I'd ask for a lil cash to help me party, and I'd go shopping every single day! If no cash is coming, I'd ask why I can't go on the family vacation?! If it's still a "no", I'd just stay home and wonder why he wouldn't care if I did a lil partying without him...much less the kind that involves my panties.

But if the guy is still "itching", he would jump at this chance. The woman would be a fool to think that 16 days would cure it, let alone control this guy. It's a bad sign all around. If the guy isn't into playing the field then he just needs to be himself not do it. If he is, then he's not ready to be married to anyone.
Maybe it's her.... if she is headed for a vacation, maybe she is intending to sleep around on him, thus allowing him to do it but making him be the "guilty" partner.

Now everybody let's sing that 'Twelve Days of Christmas' song -- but we'll change up the lyrics just a bit. If we try hard enough I'm sure we'll be able to find a way to make sitting duck rhyme with f^cked. Put on your thinking caps.

now on the other hand, if she came at me like this " you know you should have the guys over for a party while im gone get some good guy time in* then I would hella party dosent mean I would sleep with anyone but still, but then if someone has the balls to play a game on me like the op is talking about she better damn be smart enough to not let me figure it out

Who gets engaged to be married ( or married) these days? If I did and she said, that, I would not marry her but I would think she needed to have her marbles checked.
PS. Plus 16 are too few to really party!

It appears she's handing him a "Carte Blanche" to investigate and indulge his wild side to his ltittle heart's desire. Very open minded, and expansive of her? But what's her motive? We all know any current bahaviou ror actions in no way prevent those same behaviours from re-occring in the future , or act as any sort of guarntee that because she's given this "window" , she' can be certain of his undying fidelity forerver more. Is she that that naive and optimistic? Or is this her way of giving herself a clear and open road to taking full advantage of her own last chance at singledom? She's got a motive, and she's taking full opportunity to cash in on it.

Maybe it's her way of saying, I'm going on vacation, I'm going to try and get it out of my system, so you might want to do the same?
Exactly. I think everybody on the planet knows how people behave while on vacation - she is gonna meet herself a few "cabana boys", but doesn't wanna feel guilty about it, so she is offering him the chance to do the same.
