Posted: 1/18/2008 1:44:34 PM | As i sit in the hospital room of Alicia Lady_D's daughter it is with a soloum mood knowing that @ 7:00 P.M. thay are turning off the life supoort the out poring of family and friendscoming out to provide suport and comfert to the family at only 8 years old this insont soleis surounded by loved ones she is in our prayers and thoughts now and for ever

Posted: 1/18/2008 3:30:57 PM | KrazyKat here - I'm here for my best friend Dianna AKA Lady_D. We have been the best of friends and cherish her and her family. To know them is to know true friendship through and through. She has been there for everyone and anyone that has ever needed her -- even those that she doesn't know that well. Her girls are great kids and there is so much love in this family. Alicia is a wonderful little girl that has led a very full life. She has been happy and loved more than any child. It is a sad time, but also a relief that Alicia will not have the physical difficulties that have impeded her life.
This is Dixie1069 and Kat and I are here with many of the POF FAMILY (Kat, cbc2007, 50jim, mlgonzalez, morethanamom, pinkwoman, bobgibson, yuro, marieruby, DK, brighteyes, edge27, terrigambino, sd19, wolfie, latina1056, and more to come). JustPeachyD, Billy103170, jackler, terri528, christiej, mrb769, icucmetoo, johnyappleseed, juslukin60, DrG, notyourpcman, junebug1946 We have all gotten to know each other thru the parties and such. Although many of us are on this site to meet our mates, we have been truly blessed by making friends we will have forever. We can never have enough of them and Dianna is definitely one that you would want to have in your life. She is not the type to ask for help or support from anyone, but she is need of it and and it gives her great comfort to know that we are all here for her. She is very appreciative of all the love and support she is getting. Alicia will pass shortly and Dianna will need all of your thoughts and prayers. Please be keep her in your thoughts and send her lots of love.

Posted: 1/18/2008 4:34:18 PM | This is not a self-pity thread. Lady_D has played a big role in hosting parties in the Orlando area. She has a huge amount of friends that she has met from POF, me included, and we just wanted to make everyone aware of what was happening with her.
Please do not delete this posting. We have tried to reach everyone we could, but just in case we wanted to use this to let everyone that has met her and/or knows her what is happening.

her daughter will be missed but we all know right now is a rough time
the best she can have are those close by to hold her and support her
to reassure her time will Heal... I can only imagine what she must be
going thru to lose a child so young....

I am so very proud of Dianna's strength and I know from working with disabled children that they always know the sound, touch and feel of their mother and Alicia was well aware of the love of her family, it is with a heavy heart that we have to say good bye to her but we all know that in her short years she has been as truly loved as an little girl should be. One of the most difficult decisions any parent should have to make. Alicia lived the fullest life possible thanks to her loving and dedicated parents; Richard and Dianna and sisters; Kristina and Sabrina. She touched many many lives for miles on end. Dianna is the strong, courageous person that she is, BECAUSE of Alicia and what she's dealt with since Alicia was 7 months of age.
Jan.18th 9:30pm........Alicia is gone:
This little girl fought till the very end. She took her very last breath and now she's at peace....forever. As Dianna's mom said, "she can now finally run and chase butterflies".
Jan.19th 12:05am.........Goodbye my sweet girl:
I'm thankful that mom let me and Aliyah come and visit you at the "home" during her weekly visits. We were given the chance to meet you and love you. You touched our hearts forever. Seeing you lay so peacefully, surrounded by your parents and their love for you, brought closure for us.
Jan.19th 12:35am......At home:
I just arrived home thinking of you Alicia. I called mommy to check in on her. She is now home safe with your family. You fought a long fight and I want you to rest now. Your mission is done. You have my word that I will take care of mommy, daddy and your sisters from this point on. Enjoy those butterflies!!!!..... I LOVE YOU!!!

Posted: 1/19/2008 1:07:18 AM | What a sad day it is when a parent has to bury their child. We always think and say that isn't supposed to happen. Why, we ask, oh Lord did this happen. When a child is taken away, remember the life that child had, remember all of the joy that child brought in such a short amount of time, remember the life lessons we learned because of that child, remember that this child was here for a reason that we may not yet understand but will when God thinks the time is right. When that time comes, we will smile, instead of cry when the fond memories come into our head, into our hearts. We will understand that this child went through hardships so we could all be better people just by knowing, or knowing of this angelic child.
I have had many friends and family get taken away from me and have asked why numerous times. The answers always have come in time, and always seems to be answered by God.
There is a Heaven. There are angels all around us at all times protecting us from harm. These same angels bring us home when our Father calls upon us. We all have missions, jobs, or duties while here and this angelic little girl, Alicia, has fulfilled hers, which is so clear by all the hearts she has touched in such a short amount of time.
In time, Lady_d, you will smile, instead of cry, whenever thoughts of your daughter pass into your head. That time, is up to you. All of your friends are here only to help you in this time of hardship. Use us for all that you need.
I know that you will never lose the sadness of Alicia's passing, but joy of being in her life will also come into your thoughts. She is with you, even more now than when she was here among us. She is at peace. In Heaven, there is nothing but peace.
I do hope my words have helped, if only a small amount, for you to feel assured that we are all here as your crutch to help you in your time of need.

God bless you and your family so much, my prayers are for the good Lord to give you the strength & peace that you will surely need these coming weeks. I have met you 2x's in this past year and you were so nice to me at the POF parties in Lakeland, I am sorry that you and your daughter Alicia had to go thru this terrible trial that life led for you.
But you had a very special Angel for 8 yrs and that taught you a very special kind of love. Take care....

I have the most beautiful little 7 year old little girl in the world and just the thought of what Diana is going through right now is breaking my heart. I will go and Pray Now... God Bless you and Diana...know that Alicia is in a better place and with the Lord now...happy and content(chasing her butterflies)... I know words mean nothing and can not change the outcome but know my heart is bleeding right now as your is. I am a father and a human being and there is nothing as tragic as the loss of a child.. don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything

I once read that sometimes saying nothing is the right thing to say as long as you are actually there. I understatnd that much better now.
