Snow Angel at Bruce Trail

The snow angel appeared in my dream. Girl, I will take you to Bruce Trail for hiking during winter. He lay on the ground and fluttered his hands. He left snow prints. An angel appeared smiling, sending me a wide cheery smile and dream.

The snow angel laid a magic carpet and whisked me to Queenston Hike Lookout, Ontario Canada. The Niagara river below meanders in the misty icy landscape. Famous vineyard rolling down the hill slope. The trees swing and shivered quietly amidst the winter snow. I smiled and thanks God for the magical moment.

I was whisked to the snow covered wooded paths that meanders into the wooden Queenston Heritage Park. I left footprints on the snow path moving towards the wooden trees on the hilly slopes. I smiled…Oh ..the snow was pure, white and flurry. Snowflakes falling on my head Oh how romantic. Suddenly it started to drizzle and formed tiny pot holes on the snow. I was thrilled to spot rabbit paw prints on the snow. They were hunting for food in the dark.

My childhood dream was to have a white Christmas. Frosty the snowman greeted me at Queenston Park. He stool tall and mighty. I gingerly wrapped my scarves around him. Gave him a black cap and my pair of red gloves. How I wish I would have a red carrot to stick onto his nose. Two oranges for his eyes to shine and beacon like a star at the park.

My snow angel guided me to the trail at the entrance of Bruce Trail. Its snowflake casacading. what a feeling and joy to behold. I sat on the snow cover log and admiring the beauty of the landscape. Some trees were fallen on the grounds.

I touched the dwindling brown shrubs on the wooded path. I ponder, am I dreaming in a different time zone back to the past – its falls again? I wondered?.

I lean on a big tree trunk – let my creative juices flow. Come on lets folks lets imagine that we rub shoulder with the tree – our bunny. A shoulder for us to lean on, to cry, to laugh, to sing praises and to live life to the fullest.

I wrapped my arm around the tree and swing my body and smile – cheese – to have a snapshot. I stood much closed to the edge of the hill slope. I caught a bird hill view of the vineyard in the rolling hills and small town.

My snow angel strolled hand in hand with me. I saw snow drops freezes and bejellewed the branches like morning dews. Nature is playing magical tricks like an artist painting strokes on the branches.

The hike was fun and relaxing. It was not too cold and enjoyable. Just me and my snow angel strolling in the trail. We returned back from the trails to the queenston park Hertiage Park, Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada.

We spotted some green pine trees with snow dews at the tip. It was so refreshing, rejuvenated our mind, body and soul. We felt our energy was recharged like an ever ready battery.

I felt like a child again. Rushing to the swing and swinging up and down merrily beaming with joy.

Bruce trails has brought me found memories that will last a life time. Suddenly my mother was waking me up…" Oh mum..I had a sweet dream about my Snow angel and me hiking at Queenston Hertiage Park and Bruce Trail, Niagara Falls, Ontaria, Canada".

Nice story. Very peaceful. There are a few grammatical and tense errors but that's alright. That's how you learn. Keep on writing Sunshine.

The snow angel laid a magic carpet and flew me to Queenston Heights Lookout. The Niagara River meanders below in the misty icy landscape. Famous vineyards roll down the hilly slope. The trees swing and shiver quietly amidst the winter snow. I smiled and thanked God for the magical moment.

I really enjoyed your imagery. It's a dream based in reality as I've been to all the places you describe on your tour with the snow angel. It certainly creates the feeling of wonder and joy you intended for the reader. Thanks for the journey.

yes, I enjoyed your story sunshine. you painted a picture for us all .. I think those people living in the hot climates can't appreciate our winter beauty but the way you have described it may help them.

Hi Sunshine,

That would make a great children story book, put some pictures in with some characters, and the young ones would enjoy hearing it before bedtime.
