| What makes your team special

We all love our football team whoever we support they are special to us, but what makes them special, what makes them different to any other club.
Something they did on the pitch a big acheivement, a unique acheivement or a story or some trivia behind the formation or history of the club.
My team is Huddersfield town and we are special because we were the first team ever to win the FA cup by a penalty(1922), and the first team ever to win the english league championship 3 times on the bounce(1923-24, 1924-25, 1925-26), and we also launched the careers of denis law and frank worthington.

Posted: 1/21/2008 12:30:15 PM | My team is Newcastle (Come on you theivin' magpies!!) and when Paul Gascoigne broke doon in tears in the world cup it was a really special moment to me because I'd never seen a fat geordie blokey cry in public before that moment. And about something that I'm passionate about too.
After that, I generally get off on them all hugging and kissing each other when they score. Not only are they world class sports players, but they do their thing towards making homosexuality acceptable and deserve their side-line careers advertising underpants with their bare chests exposed. | |

I remember when I was at secondary school in 1987 and my team Man City played Huddersfield and we thrashed them 10 - 1. Our history teacher, Mr Gledhill was a Huddersfield supporter an he got ridiculed for about a month.

Posted: 1/21/2008 2:00:35 PM | I'm a Liverpool fan (sorry Anneri lol) relieved to get the draw tonight and its things like this that make them special to me. The never say die attitude (champions league final 2005 perfect example) sets them apart from the rest, shame the play at the moment isnt the best but we will bounce back !
