What does that mean?

I've emailed a woman around last week and it said that she read it, but it hasn't been deleted yet. Is this a good thing? maybe she's interested or a little shy? Should I message her one more time just to find out more about her?

Read/delete/unread/delete

Don't you wish you could also tell what her face looked like when she read it? What did that little furrowing of the brow mean?!?! ASK ON THE FORUMS!

She was drinking green tea while she read my message! What does THAT mean??? ASK ON THE FORUMS!!!

She got up and went to the bathroom half way through my message and I heard the sound of someone puking! What does THAT mean? ASK ON THE FORUMS!!!

Seriously, it's just the forum gremlins fukkin' with ya.

She didn't actually read it.
She opened it and walked away.

Are you serious? people actual do that on here? that's a little rude. open up the message and then not bother to read it. they might just as well delete the messages and not waste time by opening it.

POF deletes emails after 30 days, so there's no point in deleting them if you don't want to. Even shy women respond to men they're interested in.

She's either too busy to respond and thinking of doing it later, taking the time to compose a witty response or has no intention of responding and figures POF will do the dirty work for her. You'll know for certain in less than 30 days since you emailed her last week.

Well it's not like I'm desperately waiting for a response, I'm just used to checkin the sent messages page and seeing the woman I emailed has deleted the message and not repsond. I'm just thinking that this could be a "GOOD" sign for me that she hasn't deleted it......yet

You can avoid a lot of disappointment by not getting overly pumped up. Keep in mind virtually everyone will be completely different than you imagine they'll be.

It's not rocket science, if someone hasn't messaged you back, it's because she/he doesn't want to. It's just that simple.
Good luck and keep fishing!

When women do not respond to e-mail there are several possibilities as to why.

1) She will as soon as she has time.
if she doesnt ---->
2) Your e-mail offended her,
3) She gets way too much mail to answer all of it and still have some form of a real life outside of cyberspace.
4) Shes insensitive
5) She doesnt know how to tell you that shes not interested in a nice way and would rather you just figure it out.

Yes they do! They even scratch their ass and other vital parts while reading the message. Go figure.

I don't always delete messages after I have read them. If you don't get a response..don't bother emailing again, take it as she isn't interested and move on.

I'll just wait it out, I'm a patient guy. If I don't get a response, I'll take it that she's not interested like you all say I should. lol. I'm not in a big hurry just for one single response. and yea, she could very well be getting alot of messages from other people and just don't have the time to respond.

You said you are not desperately waiting...sure sounds like you are however. Sounds like you are downright obsessing over it. Learn quick to not take anything on this site seriously at all.

If I don't respond I'm not interested. Usually I do delete the email however. If someone does that with my email, I dont care. It's not like the end of the world or anything.

I have messages in mine that are read and not deleted.

Why? Because I don't care. That's it. I just don't care. There's no conspiracy. I'm not reading, and rereading the letter. I'm not going to the person's profile multiple times to see if I like them.

Hell, half the time I forget their message is even still there.

She's not interested. She just hasn't gotten around to deleting it yet. Don't message her again - she's got your first email. If she wanted to talk to you she would.

I have messages in mine that are not read and not deleted.

It's like the other person said ... what's a nice way to say you're not interested?

If I start a correspondance, it will eventually have to be said, and I don't like saying it!!!

So, by not answering some emails, I am rude to a few people on the internet. Go ahead, damn me straight to hell!!

I rarely delete any emails. If I do not respond almost immediately chances are I wont later. :( Mostly just because I forget to go back and reply.

maybe she read it but forgot to reply because she got distracted

maybe she read it and didn't want to bother to reply

maybe she read it and is trying to think up a good response to reply with

maybe she opened it and her computer crashed and she's waiting for it to be repaired....

dunno

but if you've not heard back from her i'd take it that she's not interested and move on..

From my past experience it means she is not interested. I found that it is something that some women will start to do after they have been verbally attacked by multiple users after being rejected. By leaving it as just "read" people can not justify attacking them for rejection as they may have simply gotten swamped with messages and never had the chance to write back and never officially rejected them.

this forum is closed now. i noticed she deleted the message. all fair love and war. doesn't matter to me anymore. she's was obviously not interested and was clearly stating that but not replying. and god damnit why the hell do I always sound like i'm whining, ****ing, complaining, or even obsessing? ****ing hell! lol
It was something different to me, again seeing that this person didn't delete my message. I thought it might have been a good sign. I'm WRONG!!!!!!

I don't delete any of my email just in case I want to find it later. But usually that's not the case. I let them delete on their own when they expire.

Oh dear,
It could have been a good sign. Right now I have five or six mail sitting that I've read but have yet to answer, and I am going to. I just thinking about what to say. Sometimes it's not so easy to come up with an interesting respons.

So don't get too discouraged. I checked your profile and if you don't mind me saying so, I think you can do better in the photo department.
Turn the first photo so it's sitting the way it should. #3 and #4 are awful and distorts your features. #5 looks like you just dragged yourself out of a gutter.
I don't say this to be mean, rather the other way around. Your first photo is good, a little smile and you look pretty confident. Just turn it right.
You say a few extra pounds, is this the truth? Looking at those bad photos it looks like many extra pounds, yet another reason to get rid of them.

First impression can be crucial, so present yourself in the best way possible.

Good luck with the next message....

I agree with Tomozzo. I try to do the same....

But to JIrWiN, is it at all possible for you to post the message you sent this girl you are patiently waiting for a response from?

lets analyse!!! :P
