How about Super Bowl Saturday!

I think the superbowl should be played on Saturday not sunday. Think about it logically. They wait 2 weeks between conference championships and the superbowl. It makes perfect sense. Tradition is not in play because most sports have played even opening games out of country at some time or another. The NFL would be doing a great service to the loyal fan base as well as the casual fan by making the superbowl on Saturday. People work on monday , so I think this is a relatively 'minor ' concession the powers to be can do for the general public.

I would think that would be a great idea. Maybe even save some lives. Seems to me this is an all around partying and having fun on a Sunday night during the Superbowl. And being the west coast has to see the game early afternoon. We easterners have to have the game at night. And being the game is like three hours long or even more. Hey kids might miss school the next day by hung over parents. I am sure many are of the next day. My brother lives in New York and I asked him to watch the game with me. He says NO ...Why It ends to late and he has to work the next day. Just think if it was on Saturday maybe people will stay off the roads after the game and stay where they are and fall out on the floor. Might save a life or two.

Excellent idea. Also start the game an hour earlier... 5:30 Eastern is fine for the west coast.

Move the All Star game to the day after and change the format to a rookie all star game. As the NFL is going to 17 games in a few years, give the winning conference the extra home games. Yes, I know the plan is to play the games overseas but that just isn't doable. Just how many cities and how many games would work?

Mexico City
Toronto (thought Buffalo already has an eye on a few games a year there)
London
Munich
Frankfort

Any others?

Hell yeah!!! My friends and I have been saying this for years too. Traditionally we like to get together to eat, drink and party while watching the game. Having to get up for work the next day really puts a damper on all that. Saturdays just make sense.
