| Swansea meet???
Posted: 1/25/2008 4:54:29 AM | Right I'm going to take the plunge and try to arrange a meet in Swansea. I'm new here, I've not done it before and I have no idea what's involved but hey, how hard can it be?
So if you're interested, maybe some ideas on time of day, venue etc might be good. At the moment I'm just finding out how much interest there would be and what kind of thing folks might like to do.

Having arranged a meet - it really isn't that difficult, and I think there is, somewhere a thread with some swansea ideas on it. But off the top of my head - bowling, Singleton Park, beach (make a weekend of it down the Mumbles), swimming (!!!) and I think there is some botanical garden thingy. Of course not all those are feasible if the weather is not good.
And then there is the pub/club type thing.

Posted: 1/25/2008 10:21:39 AM | Aitche and Ellie, you could always do what me and dec1an did, have a micro meet, just the two of you, to plan/research. It took us 2 months of meetings to work out what we wanted to do, you don't need to drag it out so much
We went out looking at different places and talking to folk, and went to a couple of pub/club type meets, essential research, we didn't want to go out at all, selfless like that us.
It's not hard, and the second one is even easier.  | |

'So you think you're funny' on TV is doing a comedy gig on valentines day in Swansea, maybe The Grand.. would make a nice way for singletons to go out on valentines day and not feel left out miserable at home alone :p They might even find their potential soulmate at the meet, that would be a nice romantic success story..
If you sort it.. might even consider coming myself! | |

Kate, be good to see you whether you can make the date or not.
I'm liking the sound of the comedy club on Valentines', anyone else fancy going? Just as a starter then maybe arrange a slightly more organised affair in March maybe? My taste in where to go may be a little left field for some (unless you all want to be introduced to the joys of psy-trance), we'll go with mainstream.
Thoughts please.
