Today my daughter picked me up at work and we decided to go for a drink at one of the neighborhood bars that we both have been to many times. There were 3 guys at the the free internet computer and I happened to glance over and they had brought up " plenty of fish " at first I was freaking out... I thought " oh my god what if I happen to come up on the screen "!! and here I am .. but they were looking at younger ladies .. there is a god:)
but the bad thing is they were making fun of almost everyone and if they were not making fun they were making derogatory remarks about the good looking ones . M y daughter and I noticed though that there are women who are really trying to be sexy and that is what they probably want anyway .. but the thing is... I never thought that my profile or any one else's would be brought up at a bar for a bunch of guys together to make fun of . I feel weird now... keep that in mind I know I will now !!! | |

Even the good looking girls? How dare they do such a thing, we all know good looking people are more deserving of respect. Is it Ok then if they laugh at the ugly people?
If I'm at a bar and people are laughing at men's profiles on POF, it wouldn't bother me. I'm sure people here at POF laugh at profiles all the time, and (hold your breath) even dish out abuse for it in some of the forum posts. Some of the profiles here are laughable, they may be drunk and/or immature, they may have OD'd on mushrooms and will laugh at anything, who cares?
Take the advice from the other posters, you're on a public forum here with personal info and pics of you available. That automatically puts you at risk. You may want to look into the option of hiding your profile from others. There are some profiles here I cannot view when I'm not logged in. | |

i try to be aware so that no matter who sees what i write none of it would be stuff i'd be ashamed of others seeing (embarrassed, yes, sometimes.. lol) and none of the photos would be too hard to live down.. of course, being single and not running for prime minister, i have a little more leeway than i might do otherwise..  | |
