I see a lot of inquires about get togethers but no recent plans. so lets just do it! I have heard that they r a lot of fun!
Any body know of a good place? I am by Dyersville, Iowa and I am willing to drive a little if anyone know of a good place.
I know that there are a lot of good places in Dubuque,Iowa if people are close to there. Otherwise hit me up with a location.
I say we plan it for the 16th of February.
Tell me what u all think?!

Posted: 2/19/2008 10:02:37 AM | I'd love to get together with other POF'ers from Iowa...however....I live in the very upper midwest corner and it seems as if most are quite a ways away from me. It's not a matter of driving to meet up. For me it's more of a matter of finding the time to do it. I work 2 jobs and have kids 50% of the time. I just can't take a weekend to meet up with some interesting people. To drive2-3 hours is one thing. But Des Moines is 4 1/2 hours for me...one way. That's 9 hours of driving for to meet up with some people for just a few hours. Gotta weigh the pros and cons..yanno?  | |

Not trying to be picky or anything, just don't like driving 1.5 hours one way twice in one day - the highway is too boring. | |

??that could accually be fun,a bar? Galena,Ill.?,are we looking for some place scenic, or just a place to get together,indoors or outdoors . There are some nice parks up in Clear Lake,Ia. also. Well my suggestion would be to keep it simple and have it outside some place central to the most requests for the get together, and have it be a bring your own drinks(cooler)for sure and to bring a dish if you can.
