I really do not believe ANYONE are losers, male or female. We are all capable of doing great things as well as bad. Remember people are a product of their family environment, genetic make up[handicapped, short, missing limb etc] and social circles[town, school etc.]. It is what people do with their situation. Plus the fact one persons so called 'loser' might be anothers dreamboat. It is not simple as putting a label on someone. Besides many people live up to labels even bad ones so try being positive to all

Anyone living with extremely low expectations, should fit the bill as far as i'm concerned.

I've seen female losers.
I.e 45 years old, working for minimum wage, clubbing trying to pick up 20 year olds. Alcoholic, drug addict, and so on.
20 something year old. Popped out 5 kids already. No man. On welfare.

I see a gold digger with a piece of crap car, as a loser, as well. I've seen quite a few of those. Or a gold digger, who can't even afford good shoes. What kind of gold digging are you working with, girl?! You're supposed to be chasing CEO's. Not Wendy's managers. Get it right.

Most cougars, are stereotypical female losers. If you can't score someone your own age...chances are.

A loser is a loser no matter what sex they are. And the criteria doesn't differ from one sex to the other. This thread reminds me of one a few months ago that asked "what is a male gold digger called". Duh, a gold digger. There is nothing in these words that indicate race, sex, religion, or any other group or category.

In my book, a loser is simply a person who lives far below their potential, and is content with that. It's a person who would rather sponge off of their parents, grandparents, and significant others instead of supporting themselves. A loser is someone who would risk a decent job by doing drugs and knowing that they have random piss tests. A loser is someone who has children and is too immature to raise them properly.

Wow...I just realized that I just described my cousin, Christie. And yes, that would be a female.

In my opinion, substance abusers (pot and alcohol included), people who are in and out of jail, women or men who make kids they cannot look after, are all LOSERS.

I am a loner who spends a great deal of time working out in a gym and I don't drink or smoke or abuse drugs. I am very outspoken about it.

Some people would consider me to be a loser, but those people are usually the type that I am talking about in my first statement.

God yes there are female losers.
I've had run ins with several.
Hot chicks looking for a man to take care of them. Ones with kids that would rather go to a bar every night than care for their children. Even the vodka slammer, meth heads, and alcoholics that don't think they have a problem. Loser isn't a sex.

I can't think of a gender-specific synonym for "loser", either--I agree, 90% of the time it's used for males. I don't quite want to go as far as saying 90% of the losers ARE male, but...

At one time or another,EVERYBODY exhibits qualities that would suggest that they are a "loser"
It's a subjective term....

Female losers would probably:

1) Not take care of their kids.
2) Abuse alcohol/drugs
3) Be promiscuous
4) Not be dependable at work or in their personal lives.
5) Blame others for their own failings.
6) Be sociopaths or have anti-social personality disorders.

Just like male losers...

Hmmm....

Yeah......I don't agree with all of the qualifications that society see as someone being a loser, because just like someone above posted, seeing someone as a loser is a subjective thing for the most part unless your a drug addict, in prison, or one of the guys featured on "To catch a Predator"...lolol

I would say HILLARY is a winner . The lady has a law degree and has risen to magnificent heights. Even if you do not like the lady at least be objective. Thus someone that judges success as a failure , surely has to be someone as a loser .... male or female.

Of course there are...
If a male loser is allegedly bald, short, doesnt live alone, no car....

Then I would say a female loser is...
Died blonde with 2 inches of black roots, 5 kids, no job, smokes like a chimney, lives off the state, no car and a mouth that resembles a sewer.... - yep, loser.

A loser of a man for me is usually a druggy, no job, kids, possibly a criminal.....

Like Cocytus said earlier, we all exhibit signs of being a loser at one time or another, in the course of our lives.

When, I was a lot younger, the first girl to break my heart dumped me, because she thought I would always be quite wild; never go to college, and never amount to much. Six years after she dumped me, we ran into one another, and she spent the next fifteen years chasing me, before giving up.

I asked her a simple question: I wasn't good enough once; what makes me good enough now?

She wouldn't answer that question, although I knew the answer.

She thought me a loser when I was in my late teens. After I got out of the military, I went to school, twice, and made something of myself, for myself.

Those who are abused by their boyfriends, husbands, and significant others, are victims of The Battered Woman's Syndrome. Yes, it's a real psychological diagnosis, listed in the DSMIIIR.
