I've been noticing a number of women have UFC listed as one of their interests. Now in my past experience in going to bars to watch events 80% of the women that go don't even watch the event and ether chat it up with their boyfriends buddies girlfriends, or spend most of their time on their cell phones.

While I don't doubt that there are women that are into it I question how many women really are because to be honest after reading some of the profiles some of the women really don't seem like they would be the type that would be into that kind of thing. Though I admit what seems and what is are two entirely different things and I may be completely wrong in my guess.

So what I'm wondering is how many women really have an interest in it. Or do some women list it because they find that most of the men they are attracted to are in to that kind of thing?

Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Basically mix martial arts cage fighting. While some fights can have minimal blood some look like a murder scene when they are done.

^^Thanks for clarifying...

I saw that at quite few profiles and was too lazy to google it.

So, to answer your question... I have zero interest in the UFC, and I do not list it on my profile.

I am just not very good when it comes to faking.

ohhhhh, I've seen that before, but it was usually when my ex was watching it.

While I can appreciate the athletic ability and different fighting techniques used, karate, boxing, etc....I think it gets a little barbaric when one guy is getting his arse kicked and is too stubborn to quit.

I do like watching American Gladiator though, I remember watching it when it was on about 12 years ago, and now that it's back on I am addicted.

I am one of those "fans" of UFC. I've watched it on TV for years. Watched the series when they are on to. I went to my first live MMA fights a few months ago and loved it!! I guess many women don't like it because of the violence or think that it's a "man thing" but I for one enjoy it :) . I guess I'm one of the few that are into that sort of thing. It's a serious sport with major dedication to training and skills. I find it very entertaining :)

I wish women were into professional wrestling, I'd have it made. They were at one time, but that time is gone. May it come back again!

Oh, I’ve done this. There’s nothing like a “fire sale” at Shoe Carnival.

I'm not sure what the question is, but I hate this "sport". It's guys pummeling each other. While I would love to have one of these men accompany my down a scary alley in NYC, I really don't like the "slug each other 'til one of us dies" thing. Fortunately for me, I did NOT list it as one of my "interests", whew, I'm not a hypocrite.

this girl from my church...she's very much into it. she's probably one of the last person who i'd imagine to be into it (based on her appearance, style, what she likes...i mean her fave color is baby blue or pink). but ya...i think she ended up liking it cuz her brother/bf watches it alot...so now, she's also an avid fan.

oh...and i'm not. i find it too...barbaric...lol! i didn't even like hbo boxing, til some guy i was so into was a big fan of manny pacquiao, so i watched it for the sake of telling him i did too...hahahahahahah. and from there...i now keep upto date with "pacman's" matches...

UFC rocks for sure. It not about guys beating each other up. It is about skill, it is not a street fight or like WWE. This is actually hardcore skill. It funny when you see a small skinny guy win a fight, just proves size doesn't matter.

I do WWE stuff and let me rest assure you, it takes a tremendous amount of skill. What UFC is, is a sport type competition that involves the use of strength, speed, agility, technique, mat awareness, quickness and mental focus. UFC, is a competition.
WWE, is a performance. WWE is not a sport, nor an athletic competition. WWE is theatrical athleticism at it's finest. Like a play or a movie, our competition is judged upon how well we play the part given to us.

Both UFC type stuff and WWE type stuff take a tremendous amount of skill. Just much different skills.

Don't compare apples to oranges.

I am not a "passionate" watcher - But I know of it - I like to watch it with the girls - Guys get way too into it and think more than they should... with the girls, have a beer order the fight, do nails, talk sex & horiscopes, have some chocolate - There is no severe money loss no matter who wins or loses and no one is "trying" the UFC moves on eachother - Everytime men are involved - there is an ambulance - So I would definately say that I enjoy it - but in moderation

Ummm....those shirts are the ones the UFC guys wear, right?

Sure hope that Noguiera will show half the spunk Monson did in #65.

Let's just say, some of us truly are into it.

My family have always been involved in boxing and martial arts.

Ive been to just about every cage fighting event in the uk and to York Halls in the East end of london for boxing more times than ive had hot dinners probably.

I enjoy the mastery of the moves.. particularly when it comes to UFC and the many different disciplines involved not just g&p... so please.. dont judge all women as just looking for some muscle bound bloke or there as his girlfriend.

Actually, I went to a local UFC fight a month ago in my home city with a few friends. This was my first time. And even though the fights were really good, the one thing I couldn't help notice was that most of the women were really attractive!! I mean good looking, like they take care of themselves. It's very hard to meet women in my home city, since I don't do the bar thing. Of course, all of them were with other men/boyfriends. Typical. I can see why they go to those sporting events. Probably, because of their boyfriend and because of the "bad" boy influence they so much admire. I'm definitely going again.

lol, i thought UFC stood for united football club...

i didn't know about the fighting championship thingie, (obviously )

but, i did watch a good long documentary on "ultimate fighting" (is that the same thing?) which included all different types and combinations of various martial arts etc.. it was fascinating to see how much power and control a human body could exert and exercise... how they trained, the different focuses of them....from that perspective i really enjoyed it and have continued reading and watching things about it, occasionally... i love to learn about new things

the idea of seeing someone getting beaten into a pulp and gore everywhere doesn't appeal overly muchly though, i must say

I honestly enjoy wathching UFC. I always watched it with my ex at home. Now I watch it at home alone. Maybe I should head out somewhere to watch it. Anyway, I listed it because I enjoy it and yes of course, I might attract a guy who sees I like it.

Buddy,

I have about 6 that have been to my MMA (UFC) class in the last six months. . . And they beat the hell out of each other. Besides, there are half naked men wrestling and they know all the guys are at the bar. . . . . . . . .

We will be drawing graphs and charts later to make this more understandable.
