| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 2/10/2008 7:25:19 PM | | I can't help you, Angel. I like to dance but I'm quite a bit older. I dance alternating Sundays at Polish Legion in St. Catharines and the German Village in Niagara Falls. If you're looking for a bar, I can't help you. The Anchorage in NOTL might be given a try. Mick and Angelos is a good hang out; depends upon what you're looking for. | |

But I see you keep talking about Bars in niagra falls ! If your looking for some place to drink and meet others try the casino's or falls resturants in the area. The falls view tower has a bar and lots of people go there. Just dig out the news paper or the phone book and you'll find tons of places to go. But never go over the falls as not many people there to meet as no one is alive who go over the falls !LOL

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 2/13/2008 11:38:40 AM | i went to a weekend get together with a single parents group about four years ago, in niagara falls - it was a blast - we stayed in the comfort inn and best western on clifton hill there (canadian side) and went to a little night club place on that hill (can't remember the name, but if you type in clifton hill and night clubs you should get a hit on google - we also went to one along the bottom of the hill, which was on top of the shops that are store-fronted, there.. (not being particularly specific, am i? hehe :) ah well, at least i can tell you there *are* some fun places to hang out)
.. a lot of it is somewhat hazy, there was drink and (my first ever trip) to a strip club involved too... but i'm not sure that's what you're looking for

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 2/20/2008 6:09:41 PM | | I like going to the Cairn Croft. I know it's a meat market but I just ignore the creeps and have a good time dancing with my friends (who are mostly all settling down now which means they don't go as much) I don't like clubs full of 20 somethings. If anyone is looking for new friends and wants to go out dancing let me know. | |

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 4/5/2008 8:40:52 PM | Try Niagara Falls, New York. They used to have great clubs there but I'm not sure what's there now as I've been away for 25 years...lol. There used to be The Late Show, The Library, Honey's Pizza, not to mention Buffalo if you're up for an adventure.

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 4/6/2008 9:08:44 AM | | Any trip to the Niagara region requires a visit to Niagara On The Lake. Its a great place to walk about and have a picnic overlooking the Niagara River and Old Fort Something (I dont know the name) across the river.... | |

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 4/6/2008 11:09:23 AM | Niagara on the Lake is an excellent spot. Anywhere along the Niagara River is great for picnics as well. Or just take in any of the many beaches on Lake Ontario or Lake Erie. My mom lives on Long Beach (Willow Bay) which has been one of my favorite places to go. I spent my teen years on all those beaches and absolutely loved it.

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 4/6/2008 8:43:16 PM | Hey Meegway! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but when they changed the drinking age for the brats in the U.S., the entire club scene on third ave closed including Club exit etc. As for Honeys, "LA" closed up on pine and moved over to I believe Hyde Park somewhere? Anyway the original one is gone! The Bakery, The Late Show and all the rest are just memories now for us old farts that can remember those days... It's been a while since I was over myself but I don't even know if the Pressbox is open anymore? There is not many places to go in NFNY. Best bet is on the Canadian side anyway you look at it! | |

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 4/6/2008 9:30:57 PM | I kind of figured that might be the case. One thing that shocked me though was some changes I noticed in Buffalo. I live in Ottawa now and in the past have had to travel to Pittsburg for courses at GATF (Graphic Arts Technical Foundation) that were related to my military trade. The half way point for the trip was Buffalo. It's against regulations to drive more than 8 hours a day on road trips and when it involves an extra night in a hotel in a different city who am I to argue...it's just more adventure. We ended up staying at the Ramada Hotel and what shocked me was how much Chippewa St had be transformed from a slummy area to a trendy sidewalk cafe strip.

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 4/7/2008 7:39:31 PM | | Not only has the downtown been given a face lift of sorts, but all the slums were torn down along the thruway on both sides and new condos and housing was developed along the lakeshore. The entire waterfront has been revamped and there are some cool places to go there to hang out in the summer. I have a boat so I pop over occasionally and cruise the area. Some great places to grab a beer and some wings, if you know what I mean? | |

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 4/13/2008 5:32:54 PM | Hi Angelz7z
I know exactly what you mean,,,not many places to go in Niagara anymore..I just discovered this nice little place on Dunn Street . Just everyday people and its like a cheers atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly, I have met a lot of really nice people there. Its called the Dunn Street Bar and Grill. Mostly our age and a later night crowd I have noticed around 9 to 10ish it begins to get busy. Definitely not a meat market just a nice place to meet some new people.

| Where to go in Niagara? Posted: 5/10/2008 9:30:06 PM | I don't know what there is to do for a 40 year old in the Niagara Region, but for a guy/girl in their 20's there is tons to do.
Countless bars to goto: Dragonfly, Kahunaville, Big Bucks, My Cottae, Moose and Gooes, Arizona's etc. For a date there are numerous movie theatres, lots to do on Clifton Hill and there is always good old Marineland. You can go hiking, rollerblading/biking on trails and hang out at the beach for the day.
