What's scaring the hell out of me is - Prostitutes are now joining the club.
Guys - Do your homework ok - Hate me or not - Do your freaking homework. Ask for more pics, don't fall for the trap. Ask for cam - Watch it! Do not give your real name under no circumstance. Somehow - duh - they found a way in.
What's scary is - The disease they can pass to you - then others you meet. And yes, I know you know all about it. What else is scary is - once they get your info - you know what I'm talking about - lol, your real name - they can create online identity theft etc ..
Sorry Pof - I didn't wanna be the burden of bad news - but - it's a warning for both males and females. I suggest a team that will take tips and advice before this gets out of hand. I know others have seen this - I will be the first to say it.

The secret is not to do the ostrich and make sure that those people are exposed and prosecuted; so that they cannot do it anymore to anyone. Ignoring or doing nothing about a fraud or a crime is endorsing it; fight back! better do little then nothing to clean up a society! | |

As for POSERS, we get them in a bar. They tell you one thing and are another.
As for Prostitution, we are all exchange our bodies for money, they use sex as their method, I use my hands and head. I believe they are be persecuted .
And the diseases. Well on that point I do agree, but if you ask me. A vigin that sleeps with one person without protection is as dangerous as someone that has slept with 1000.
I would not feel more comfortable with someone that had only 1 relationship compared to someone that had 100. I would be prudent, period.

I checked "her" profile, and saw a picture of what appeared to
be a woman.I had asked for more pictures and a name,
I received neither, only cryptic replies. After a couple of messages,
"she" declared to be a "Trans gender" person.
Account has since been deleted/closed.
Don't they have their own site?
Apparently there are sites for singles with STD's/HIV,
Good idea, at least they are honest, unlike the site for cheaters.
They should have a site just for scammers.
P.S.
Here's a tip on dealing with scam artists.
Usually they will eventually try to hit you
up for cash (Western Union., Moneygram).
Act as if you are complying i.e. tell them that
you sent them the money (give phony transfer info),
then wait for the next message! 
Tell them you are dreadfully sorry, and must have made
a mistake.(This is the fun part!) Give them some similar
transfer info, but change a digit/letter here and there.
Keep doing this(making them run around like a fool),
until they realize the scams on them!

Posted: 2/12/2008 10:26:35 AM | There is a site that deals with Internet Love Scams . com They offer support and you can check up as well as report someone. I have twice found pictures of scammers and reported them to the dating site as well as the scam site.
I was very surprised at how many people get taken in, as previously stated, you have to be very careful. | |

Tho , they are very easily detected by their own profiles and pics."read between the lines" . Just read what's on their profile and pay close attention to the emails.
Ask questions..you'll be able to filter them out.
Some of them are very up front a bout it too.
You'll probably find them on the intimate incounters..
There's even younger girls putting up false ages and profiles.
There's allso maried women putting up profiles as being single.
Men posing as women,putting up pics of ex girl friends or wifes.
WE just have to lurn how to deal with those kind. | |

I don't care about "Prostitutes...On POF". I'm certainly not so bored here as to start taking up causes such as the eradication of prostitutes on dating websites, etc....I find it's a waste of time.
As the above poster stated quite clearly, women out to profit financially for sexual services are quite easy to detect if, of course, the woman states her intentions clearly and, failing that, if one is conscious enough to "read between the lines" and/or ask the right questions at the first sign of suspicion. That said, I'd have to imagine prostitutes are almost exclusively self-confined to the Intimate/Hang Out/Other Relationship sections.
In other words, there's really no reason in the world to start panicking, as male_montrealer would suggest with lovely little ditties such as "What's scaring the hell out of me is" and "What's scary is" - being infantile about it isn't a solution.
If I happen to come across a profile/member who's here for illegitimate reasons, I'll calmly deal with it if and when that time comes - I have no set plan. | |

They pose as friendly. You get to know their life story. They fall in love with you.
