| Is concealing or exposing the body more provocative? Posted: 2/12/2008 3:39:12 PM | | Body exposure has become more acceptable and there is something to celebrate in comfort with ourselves. But I wonder what portion of arousal actually comes from seeing the human body revealed or overtly exposed, and what portion (if any) comes from the suggestion, the enticement. Which is more provocative, concealment or exposure? | |

And the other reason i prefer concealment is that more is left to the imagination and makes you want to know more

In Japan, Geisha are found to be very sexy & seductive yet are always completely covered by layers of clothing. Strippers & burlesque are also very sexy at exposing thier bodies. The human body (male & female) has been a subject of art & erotica for centuries ( sculpture, painting, photography, etc.)

Seeing complete nudity will remove our ability to imagine, and thus not be nearly as provocative as what we can come up with in our warped little minds.

its only fair, in these PC days if guys can pose topless then its only right the girls should have a go at it.
its not fair also to deprive ladies of something that is acceptable for men to do without fuss.

And while I appreciate compactdisc’s perspective, I could argue that part of the reason why we don’t get turned on automatically when we see a man with his top off is because we do see men without shirts, all of the time, and so are desensitized from that common exposure. Wouldn’t the same thing occur if we saw women’s breasts daily in non-intimate settings?

I would think partial exposure would be sexiest of all... Women find the "partial" attractive, where men find the "exposure" attractive. Women think the sexy part of the striptease is the "tease" where men are turned on by the "strip". In a sexual experience, men are focused on the "sexual" while women are focused on the "experience". So teach your guy to tease you and just get down to business for him and everyone's happy.

I remember watching the Heavy Metal movie, and I had to step away at the end for the phone, and I came back and rewound it, it was going through the scene where the girl is undressing to ride her large bird thing, and I found the "redressing" to be quite erotic.

| Is concealing or exposing the body more provocative? Posted: 2/12/2008 7:15:34 PM | depends on the situation.
plus, i got xray vision
plus, love to rip (read take) something off
but, if naked, i guess i can always rub something on
LOL
joking aside, as long as i get clues of what the body looks like, u r as good as naked to me.
LOL
but yes, its the WAY u act not WHAT u wear that makes one sexy, whether w or w/o clothes. fpor example: if u r looking at me w that sultry 'i could eat u alive' look, clothes or no clothes, i already see red
LOL | |

| Is concealing or exposing the body more provocative? Posted: 2/12/2008 10:10:42 PM | | I enjoy seeing fully clothed girls. I dunno, maybe its just me, but a cute girl in nice fitting jeans and a winter coat is very attractive, or running shorts and a t-shirt, khakis and a button-down shirt etc... it's just my preference. Yeah revealing clothing will get you more attention, but the wrong (or maybe right?) type of attention. I guess it's all about self-respect, girls can look really good without need to degrade themself. I also like no to minimal makeup let the beauty shine :) Modest is hottest is how the saying goes, right? :) | |

Overall though seeing a girl naked like say on a nudist beach isn't sexy. Its just a naked person.

Concealing - with a little hint of exposure - left to the imagination - on someone with a cool confidence and a sexy aura - is amazing and oh so tantalizing!
Bingo! She wins the Kewpie doll! :)
Give me a woman who can be a lady in public, yet let me know what could happen in private any day. She'll actually earn the opportunity to prove it :)

Posted: 2/13/2008 7:52:57 AM | | body exposure is not acceptable in my mind still and i find it kinda gross... i don't fall for guys who show of or show a lot of skin...i like them to be concealing instead cause no one has a reason to be looking at them...

| Is concealing or exposing the body more provocative? Posted: 2/13/2008 8:56:08 AM | well i suppose total nudity could be a bit of a turn off for some, perhaps guys instead of being shirtless should pose with just a few buttons undone to reveal a bit of chest to get the ladies wet.
iam shirtless in my pics, so maybe i should put a shirt on with maybe 3 or 4 buttons undone to just about reveal my hairy chest if thats what turns women on more rather than shirtless guys.
yeah i will go down the " tease " path rather than the blatant shirtless pics.
