| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 8:56:07 AM | In many discussions between ladies and men, the topic of "good kissers" is always top on the list. All and all I think it's pretty safe to say that most of us THINK that we are good at kissing; but are we really? I mean many can claim it of themselves but how many can say that OTHERS have told them they are? Always keep in mind that what YOU think and what SOMEONE ELSE may say..are many times TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!!!
So do you think you're a good kisser? If so, what do you think the "art of kissing" consists of? (What makes a good/bad kisser?)

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 9:00:01 AM | | I am a horrible kisser. So I believe I need a lot of coaching and training. Drilling and practice. Any good teachers out there? | |

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 9:01:01 AM | | Well...theres only one way to find out...and thats to jump in the car and plant one on me!!!!!!!! | |
|
| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 9:03:02 AM | I truly think that kissing is VERY important when it comes to dating someone. If their kiss cannot shake the very foundation I stand on well... it's highly unlikely that they will be able to turn me on at all. You need that passion otherwise, the connection dies quite quickly and easily.
Can someone be taught?? Hmm... I dunno. I suppose it's possible. I mean after all, they do say "practice makes perfect" right?
.... is that a dare Sir Luch?

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 9:05:27 AM | I have definitely been kissed by some excellent kissers. I feel I am qualified for coaching. | |
|
| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 9:12:56 AM | a) No slobber.
b) DEFINITELY no mega-suction. Ugh.
c) The right amount of warm pressure.
d) Knowing when, and how, to use the tongue. Not forcing it in like a pole.
e) Timing in general: when to start, when to hold, when to break away.
A good kisser can really warm things up!
Have to be honest - I've only met a few great kissers in my time, and they were usually great at the other things too.

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 9:14:19 AM | Everyone has their own "style", and what may have rocked someone else you were once with, may leave the next person thinking "wth?" Smart people easily adapt, after all two people can usually tell after the first (few) kiss(es), what's working or lacking, and subtlety take the lead in showing their preference, while remaining open to doing something different themselves. Those deep-throated, slobbery, drooling, face sucking tonsil hockey players may however be an exception

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 10:46:55 AM | This post caught my eye because a couple years ago I had a couple dates with this guy who said "I've been told I'm a great kisser"....NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gag me with a spoon! (It probably would have turned me on more!)

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 11:16:00 AM | Kissing is a like a dance: sensitive to the other person, from a delicate touch to an embrace. It is sensual and sensate, soft and passionate, never a demo of calisthenic strength. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
no mega suction--ever had a tongue hickey? Or gotten that little piece of skin under your tongue stuck between your bottom teeth? That's from kissing a mega-sucker! Great for cleaning a fish tank, though!
The tongue is not to be used as a.... pole. Gross!! I cannot imagine what they're thinking! But Gross!
Don't try to argue with a person who does these things; usually he will protest that he's been complimented as a good kisser. (Not gender bashing; rather, I simply haven't kissed women.)

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 11:26:20 AM | | I've always gotten good remarks, except for the last girl i dated. she said i needed work...funny, i thought she was one of the worst i had kissed. No passion! | |
|
| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 11:36:56 AM | Kissing is like anything else when it comes to two people being close...it should start out slow and soft and exploringly and gradually work up to 'mouth hunger'
I find that the worst kissers are those who plunge into the deep end of the pool without warmup.
Alternately, there are those who just want to use their lips to kiss...you can tell a lot about how ready a man is to open his heart to you, if he does not find pleasure in opening his mouth...I have met with this too many times to mention...and despite coaching effort, some people just don't change their style of kissing.
When you meet a good kisser, your clothes fall off by themselves.
Keep practicing!!! You'll get it right!!

Kissing, as with so much else is subjective.

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 12:33:37 PM | Says ME
And 99.9 % of the women I have ever kissed
Good kisser:
1) Opens mouth.....WIDE 2) Uses tongue liberally 3) Uses lips and teeth liberally 4) Has a complete repertoire of all styles (slow, fast, soft, hard, wet, dry, erotic, playful) and uses them alternately and smoothly-seemingly without effort
Bad kisser:
1) Doesn't open mouth wide 2) Doesn't use tongue liberally 3) Doesn't know how to use teeth properly 4) Is stuck on one rigid style with no creativity
While it is true that different people will have different styles, the best kissers will have the most COMPLETE style, and know how to use it

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 1:17:35 PM | Ah, kissing. I miss kissing the most..
I have been with guys I could've spent three days straight kissing (ahhhhh), and with guys I avoided kissing like the plague...
Am I a good kisser? Hmmm, not sure, never kissed myself...
I love kissing though, with the right guy. Let's just say it's enough stimulation in and of itself, when done properly...
**Sigh**

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 1:32:44 PM | | I've been told I'm the most wonderful kisser in the world...more than once | |
|
| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 1:34:00 PM | Most men claim to be good kissers. They think that by jabbing their tongue in your mouth and drooling all over your face this makes them a great kisser. | |
|
| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 2:18:10 PM | | I think passionate kissing is the most intense thing in the world | |

| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 3:21:05 PM | I have references ...

Different people, different kissing styles. There are some people that like that awful tongue down the throat thing and others that gently explore the mouth.
|
| Good Kisser? Says Who? Posted: 2/13/2008 3:23:23 PM | my xbfriend used to kiss the lips then moved to the ears... one day, I giggled and said 'hmm, I'm getting a free earwash... nice but very wet'
