Lots of interest in camping - now lets sit down and figure out where we are going and when. Short notice but that works for me. Look for my Folk Fest hat on the table - that will be us.

Posted: 2/23/2008 9:53:35 PM | M'kay I can't be there from here but I am looking forward to a camping trip. RV is looking like she needs her legs "stretched" LOL. Is this to be adult only or a family event?
We (POF) camped at Whiskey Creek campsite a couple of summers ago and had a blast.
Cameron Lake is close by, Cathedral Grove, Little Qualicum Falls, Coombs etc.

My preference is Kidlets welcome please....... easy enough to "partake" in things away from their eyes and noses if some are "so" inclined, that's what others did at all the other camping events we have attended. Worked well. | |

I bought new camping gear last summer and I want to get back out there.
Is this an RV thing or a camping tent thing? Cos I am a tent gal.
Is there going to be kids or no kids?
I can do a no kid camping, not a problem as my kids are away a lot in the summer.
I am 15 min from the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal so not a stretch for me to head mid-island. | |

I'm going to be posting a small hike in the next couple of weeks and then hopefully I will get the seven stragglers I need for my mission. It wouldn't hurt to get a couple of actual hikers too lol!

Look at that! Only three more needed with five minutes left. Not bad for a couple of hours notice, people! You guys are awesome! Thank you! Now I only need three hikers....yuk yuk! 
It looks like we have a venue for the May long weekend - still confirming it - that one would likely be best for drinking age only although it is up to parents what they consider they should do and the eventual host of the event .... more soon.
And...I can't wait until May so we are looking at April 26th weekend for a camp. More soon. Sky Pilot and Shy 2004 are my partners in crime here everyone - feel free to contact any of us. It is so great to talk to people I haven't seen in a year! And awesome too it will be to have the mainlanders CHARTER ??? a boat here?? I need to hear that story.... | |

A former fishie i know has a 33ft silverton who is willing to run us up to the island for this camping trip which can hold 12 pple and sleep 6 comfortably. Has all the ammendities but we like to rough it so............ have gear, boat etc will travel.
Let us know when and where as previously posted and we will be there after i rearrange my work schedule which shouldn't be too difficult since i get to cherry pick my hours.  | |
