Posted: 2/25/2008 10:38:36 AM | | Hello everyone! I've been on POF for awhile now, yet have failed to get any good responses as of late. For awhile I was receiving messages every other day. However, they've seen to come to a halt completely. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong on my profile. I know I'm not the most photogenic person, but it seems like I only get way older men or people who don't even read my profile contacting me. Is there something that really pops out as a red flag? I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance, your review is much appreciated. | |

Posted: 2/25/2008 10:43:02 AM | You're not ugly by any means but too many of your shots, in fact it looks like all of them, are the classic "camera at arms length" pictures. Ask someone to take some pics of you and include at least one tasteful full body shot.
I don't think your About Me section is bad at all. It wasn't too long and gives a pretty clear idea of what you're like and what interests you, as well as some of your goals. Maybe, just maybe, adding in the type of guy ( briefly ) you'd like to meet would help.

Posted: 2/25/2008 5:44:09 PM | Hello. I'm not the connoisseur; I'm just posting because you've the same lament that I've got. I could ply a few people, for a little while, for a reply or two, but then the pond went dry.
If I can still be impartial after saying that, I'd say I really like your profile. You're exactly like someone I'd want to meet and get to know, and either grow to love, or simply "grow apart" and call it 'friends.' Even sexy people need friends, don't they?
Is that at all heartening? I realized that no sooner was I a POFer than I felt something taking the wind out of my sails. (I just made that metaphor up on the spot. Did it make any sense?) I thought people on this site would all be as eager as I to meet, whether it was a good match or not, and then play it by ear. Maybe POF is a second site for a lot of paid site users, and they've staked their real claim somewhere else. Whatever the reason, I found that, yeah, mostly cold fish. | |

remove PROPER GRAMMAR CORRECT SPELLING from your interests. It obviously make you look bad. Also the comment from one guy on your favorite really isn't helping. | |

Posted: 2/26/2008 6:28:58 AM | Your profile is nice but I would change a couple of things. List a profession, student if you would like. I would also list what your part time job is.
You're pretty but your pictures need some work. Show some teeth when you smile. When people don't show teeth it makes me wonder if they have any or if they are so gross they have to be hidden... which would probably make a person non-kissable. Who would date someone they don't want to kiss? You look cute in your thinking pose. Its clear that you are just posing. I like the sepia. Perhaps you should do the thinking pose in sepia. Last picture you are looking at me like I'm some kind of weirdo. Its uncomfortable. Be fun and flirty in your pictures. Have a good time with it. | |

That is probably because the site is full of them, I'm surprised people don't snap you up. I guess I'm giving the male members of this site too much credit, as I don't know what they see in all the bimbos on this site. You sound like a very interesting woman, and something that is different than the typical boring female profile on here. Nothing with your profile, it is the best I have seen, and you are a very attractive lady too. | |

Posted: 12/24/2008 9:06:06 AM | keep pictures 1, 4, & 6. drop the rest. the others look too "forced", like you really didn't want to have your pic taken at the time. we want to see what you look like when things are natural and comfortable. you look much prettier when you are comfortable!
also, i wouldn't make any promises to write back in your profile. someone might interpret that as you having low standards.
you are always going to get more attention being the new fish. you might get more attention if you change your main pic every once in awhile, but its never going to be as much as when you were new | |
