Ok boys and girls, spring is just around the corner, really it is......and what are you doing Friday night? Hmmmm? Well? Have I got a deal for you, there are great bunch of people wanting to meet you. Over the past number of weeks lots of new faces and met lots of new people. You never know, you meet someone, hmmmmm, or just have some laughs.
For those who don’t know what it entails, the night is broken into two parts; the first stop is at 7:00pm at the Williams Coffee Pub, Hespeler Rd., Cambridge. Grab a coffee or a bite. Then head over to the second stop of the night at Dooleys pool hall in the same plaza, 3 tables have been reserved for 8:00pm.
Pool playing ability is not necessary to play and is highly not recommended as it makes the rest of us look bad.
Bring some friends and of course new  are always welcome.

Directions:
If your coming from highway 401 West or East exit hwy 401 to hwy 24, take the exit towards Brantford. Cross Eagle street/ Pinebush Road and over the railroad tracks and Williams is on the right.
From Brantford
Follow Highway 24 through Cambridge. When you get close to the 401 you will see a mall with a Super Pet on the left and a Sunoco station, turn left at the lights and the rear entrance to Williams parking lot is behind the gas station.

Where to locate us:
In Williams: Typically inside the glass area. Look for people laughing 
In Dooleys: The three tables in the alcove on the way to the bar

Pool at Dooleys
Table rentals are $12.00 per hour. That is usually split among the players and if you have 4 players then that works out to be $3/hr.
Average cost is between $30.00 and $40.00 for the table rental for the night.
Table rentals are cash only.
They have a limited menu of deep fried foods if you get the munchies (the perogies are the best). Which always goes well with beer.

For some time now, I have been saying they are my "extended family" and I luvs them. Mind you, I was say almost anything for extra hugs.  So beware of the hugs. (pst, and not just by me either)
JJ,,,,way cool to see you coming out again.
Browneyes. I agree with therightmale. You do have a pretty cue. Now you need to show it how a real game is played. 
Looking forward to seeing all the newbies and not so newbies. I sure need my hug fixes.

It truly is a great group of people for the most part.....there's a few strange ones....lol   
I will be there for the coffee portion of the night. See you all then.
Thanks again to everyone that came out last week....... it was the best turnout in Guelph yet and we had a great night, with great friends, great food and great conversation. And afterwards we gave the pool tables and juke box a good workout.

Coffee Portion......mean we havent been able to go to pool lately as we have the youngin with us. It's been working out that Ashley works the friday nights we are in Cambridge so he has to come with us.....to young to go into Doolys. | |

I understand about not being able to bring the young'un to pool. My son would love to come but what can you do? Hey we could leave them both out playing in the snow together!!! They'd like that!!!

Posted: 2/29/2008 1:45:04 PM | Good idea with playing in the snow. I can teach them how to do "Snow Angels". One of my trade marks on freshly fallen snow, for the folks that do not know that. The folks that do, I bet your shaking your head at me right about now. 
Glad to see the newbies showing up. No worries about high pressure. We truly do have a good time.
As for the snow. It is not to bad in Cambridge. Just need to go slowly. On the radio at 4pm. there was only one accident in Cambridge. Kit and Wat, that is a different story. Gee, the fella was rhyming them off for a good 3 mins.
I know I do not really need to say it...........BUT BECAREFUL. I like to hug people when they are all in one piece.

Posted: 3/1/2008 8:07:25 PM | sorry to see that some of the newbies (cantdrive, msbavinshygirl and starfishlive) and regulars did not make it out. Understandable why with the weather that it was. So, I will just have to take a rain,,,,opps, "snow check" out for the hugs then.
We still had about a dozen show up and two "newbies" made it out. Welcome aboard paperrose and bob.loblaw. I hope both of you enjoyed the group and the pool games?
And your right bob.loblaw. I can see Leslie Nelson coming up to you and saying......"Hi I am Loblaw, Bob Lablaw". (I read your profile). That is some mouth full to say. Hummm, I wonder how it would go if a person was kind of tispy or with a mouth full of crackers.
I enjoyed the night, thank you everyone for such a delightful evening.
pstttt, and guess what folks? I did not make a new "snow angle" this time. hummmmph. It was raining out when we left and it was just to wet to make one. Sighhhh. Ah maybe next time.
