| Do I Need a profile makeover? Posted: 2/28/2008 3:52:19 PM | I like to think my profile is a good reflection of me, and what I am doing on this site..Although I acknowledge I am looking for more than just "casual dating" (a diff lady each friday nite)..I am not looking to get married(seeing how my current Divorce is not even final yet).
Yet..that is what I seem to attract..ladies expecting marriage proposals after 4 weeks...or the other extreme..." Gee...I won't chat with you because your divorce isn't final"???!!
I am afraid if I post that honestly, ladies will think I am "non-committal"..or my bigger fear.." a lying cheater"..why do I instantly become a "cheater"..because I say, I don't want a life consuming relationship..but rather a mutual comfortable one?...oye?!
So..what do you think..more specifics of what I want or can be in a relationship?...or perhaps some pics that make me look taller....(where are those old phonebooks?)
Or maybe a Pic of me standing next to a 2001 Ford F 150 pick-up? | |

| Do I Need a profile makeover? Posted: 2/28/2008 7:15:54 PM | Your profile is all about what you think other people want, or focusing on what you DON'T want. There really isn't much about who you ARE.
Remove any and all "nice guy" sentiments. Ultimately, they just sound whiny. Show us you're a nice guy by how you describe yourself - anybody can say it. And don't harp on the last relationship, why it ended, or why you hate dating. Try to focus on the positive.
Write a few sentences or short paragraphs about who you are as a person - what you believe in, what is important to you, etc. Then another few sentences about one or two things that you are passionate in life.
See if you can flesh out your Interests section a bit... much of what you have is pretty generic. Get a bit more specific. What kinds/genres of movies, music, etc. What does "DVDs" mean exactly?
I have to say your username might sound a bit... conservative or possibly uptight. When I think "Mr Careful", I don't think "fun". And let's be honest - most people want a date to at least be fun.
More pictures = better. Think "variety"... even the two you have are almost the same shot, just different angles and clothes. Pics of you doing things you enjoy are always a good addition.
