Hmmm well here are the Top 10 reasons why I think some of you haven't made any postings yet :
# 10) It's "Spring ahead and Fall behind.....who actually thinks it's 9:15 instead of 11:15
# 9) J:J won big at A.C. and has moved to Wisteria Lane
# 8) A Smile is stuck somewhere in Hand cuffs
#7) A few of you are out at Home Depot buying "Locks" for Sunday
#6) Plumber is busy negotiating with the Staten Island Yankees to have the Friday Get-together held at the stadium, since the number of people attending is growing
#5) Some of you are still too tired from Birthday celebrations 
#4) Vanilla Scent is at the Bar having her " Liquid Breakfast"
#3) Vanilla Scent is at the Bar having her "Liquid Brunch"
#2) Vanilla Scent is passed out at the Bar
And the number 1 Answer as to why no one has posted anything in a while is:
#1) You're all   Come on Get up!!!!! It's Sunday Morning!!!

Posted: 3/11/2008 10:05:34 AM | Having read a previous comment by someone, I have to make a few comments.....and anyone who knows me..knew that I would....
The people going to this Get-Together on Friday ,who are members of Plenty-Of-Fish
are going for one or more of the following reasons:
* To meet someone
* To make new friends
* To socialize
* To drink
* To dance
* To have a few laughs
* Find a future Boyfriend/Husband
* Find a future Girlfriend/Wife
* Find a "significant other (not that there is anything wrong with that)
* Just to get out of the house
* And Yes...maybe for a 1 night stand (not me..I'm looking for a Taco Stand)
Whatever the reasons people are going, everyone is entitled to go down there and do whatever they wish to as long as they are not offensive to others ( yes I will be keeping my pants on ...We are all over 21 (most of us well over) and I think we can decide what we wish to do and not do..... In addition,this " Get-together" while a joint effort, is open to the public (ie. many people are bringing friends) So...I suggest to the man who wrote the post that I am referring to.....remember an expression made famous in the Army....."You either Lead, Follow, or get the  out of the Way!!"
And at the Get-Together on Friday....I believe Fun will Lead the way.....so I think you have 2 choices left........................... Johnny Blue | |

Just in after being out all night...wow!!! I left and there were 26 pages of post and now up to 34............
I have learned a lot from the latest posts......
There are a few smokers coming Friday.... ( though I knew that)
There are a few people coming concerned about the tolls ( and their taxes )
There are people coming who think they are too old
There are people coming who think they are too young
I have had an artist draw a sketch of what the room should look like a few hours after we get there on Friday:

Remarkably, the following quotes are from sometime Saturday morning, March 15th
Plumber : "Hey...How did my name tag wind up on J:J's dress?"
Michie: "I don't know how my body got like this....We were playing twister and then..."
Plumber: "Hey......Who took my E-Z pass?"
Ratboy7: (Thinking to himself) "Wow..This is great!!! I can ride back and forth between Jersey and Staten Island for free...and it'll take months before they shut this
E-Z pass off......Hmmm think..I'll do my taxes,visit my family...pick up KAYSH"
J:J: "How the Hell did Plumber's name tag get attached to my.....................?"
ASmile: "Listen HPFLRMTC, we have been together all night, will you please tell me YOUR name?????"
HPFLRMTC : "Shhhhhhh...ASmile...it's QUIET TIME now...Put your head down"
NeonChaos: "How did all these people wind up in my house?"
FitnessFrek: "Please ...will someone please talk to me"????
S.I. Lady: "I swear officer, I only had 9 drinks...I mean 2....thats it...ah 2 drinks.."
V.S.: : "Ah NUKE.....you can move your hand now"
PopGoes: "Thanks for the loan,Plumber...Gee I can't believe that statue actually held that "in" for so long....and she had to hold that "torch" all that time.........WOW"
Fred: (Waking up, all tied up in the back of a car) "Hey ...Where am I"
S.I. Girl: "You're in the back of my car.....and we are about to pull off of the A.C. Expressway......so keep quiet,give me that ATM card..and NO ONE gets hurt..Okay?"
Kayash: "someone took my name tag.....I know it has to be the same girl using my photos!!!.......
Brian: "Okay..Okay!!....Who is the wise guy who made that name tag for my girlfriend that says "I'm with Stupid".....and made a name tag for me that says "I'm Stupid"??? | |

2 bags of Doritos (Ranch flavored)
A jar of Bread & Butter Pickles

1 Bagel ...cream cheese & Lox for V.S.
2 Bags of Marshmallows *
Graham crackers*
Jar of Fudge*
* To make S'mores
Am I missing anything?....I mean ..from the list?

Posted: 3/14/2008 9:29:19 PM | Thanks to all that showed up tonight. I am sure that the Hilton was appreciative of all the business we gave them.
The next event will be on Friday, April 18.
The manager told me and Mike.. as long as we give them enough notice, they will provide a DJ and another bar in the lounge. This way, we won't be packed into the bar area like cattle.
If this works out, we will continue to do it every month. My group is there the 3rd Friday of the month regardless.

Posted: 3/14/2008 10:00:05 PM | Interesting evening... First time I've experienced an 'online dating group get together'. Honestly when I first walked in - it did feel a bit surreal. Most folks trying to put a face to an online picture... A great study in social psychology!
Shame on the Hilton... I got there just before 9:00 and the writing was on the wall - the turnout was going to be huge. Management should have rounded up at least 2 more bartenders to help out. They would have done 10 times the business!
Everyone was there to have a good time. Everyone was very cordial. I met quite a few POF's including jj & hp and others that tagged along with members.
Kudos to plumber (or contractor) and to everyone else that was responsible for arranging this get together...

Michie - I know I flaked out on the club but I was so exhausted and I am falling asleep as I type this
HP - it was great meeting you and looking forward to our next meeting (sooner rather than later :) )
