| Who are worst,brothers fighting or sisters fighting
Posted: 2/29/2008 11:56:26 AM | Im fed up with my two oldest boys fighting,they are not at it all the time but when they do they kick,punch and pin each other down.This morning they fought and one of them went to punch the other and missed,he hit the shelf and now he has a broken hand.
Will it teach him a lesson?
Does everyones kids fight? are girls worse than boys
And how do you stop them? | |

Posted: 2/29/2008 12:15:37 PM | i have two boys that only have 16 months between them and they argue and bicker constantly.
the fighting erupts every now and again, but touch wood, isn't too bad at the moment, although i do expect it to get worse when the hormones start surging :(
as for whether girls or boys are worse..i'm not sure. i know me and my sister were every bit as bad as my boys, so i would hazard a guess at 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.. | |

the eldest is resentfull of the youngest..
the youngest takes advantage of that..
they argue and physically fight constantly..
it makes me sad to watch them to be honest
and powerless to know what to do for the best | |

The younger of the two would protect the older and look out for him.But the oldest wouldnt do it for him.
The oldest is full of hormones at the moment,the other one will be this year two.
That will be fun :(
The trouble is they do it in front of the 3 year old,who then hits them both | |

Posted: 2/29/2008 1:06:22 PM | 3 daughters 20, 23 and 26 , they are absolutely vile to each other, not physically but verbally, they have text wars that go on for hours then expect me to agree with all of them, it drives me insane...
Thank god I only have my youngest daughter and son at home now..
When they get fed of having a go at each other, they will then have a dig at my son "golden balls" as he is 14 so 6, 9 and 12 years years younger than his sisters, and all they do is moan about him being spoilt...

Posted: 2/29/2008 1:07:38 PM | I found that my girls were worse than my boys.My two oldest girls fought each other constantly when they were younger and my two youngest girls did the same.
Luckily both sets of girls stopped when they became teenagers and now they still have arguments between themselves but they never come to blows anymore so trust me it will get better with age lol.
The best way to stop them was to make them laugh by repeating what they were saying to each other,ie you stop pulling my hair and i will stop pulling yours or you let go first,no you let go first,when they realised how stupid they sounded they stopped. | |

I have to remind him that him and his 12 year old brother were both like that when they were younger.Two being naughty at once | |

Posted: 2/29/2008 8:06:08 PM | This topic amuses me. I am one of four children, the youngest of them all and boy did i have it tough growing up.
We all fought like cat and dog and some of the tales i could tell of our fights when we were kids would either make you disgusted or laugh.
I fought with my brother, i fought with my sisters and i am so amazed we didn't actually kill each other. Luckily as we got older we got on great.
I have two boys myself now with nearly a 12 year age gap between then and they fight all the time. The little one does it for attention and my eldest thinks because he's the man of the house and he should discipline the little one.
I now know how my mother felt when use to battle.
I think its all part of growing up though, there is always going to be a time when siblings don't get on for one reason or another.
I actually think that brothers fighting, sisters fighting and brother and sister fighting are all as bad as each other.
Just try to remember that as a parent don't take sides as this could make matters worse. | |

Posted: 3/1/2008 12:40:50 AM | My boys rarely fought. Once they did when they was 6yrs and 8yrs..over a GIRL!..it resulted in taking my youngest to A&E with a dinosaur stuck in his head... When the doctor asked what had happened..my eldest replied "He pinched my girlfriend, then said my togger was this size!" showing the doctor his little finger

Even better if they remove most of their clothes first, and happened to be wearing extremely tiny pieces of underwear.....

Posted: 3/1/2008 4:24:49 AM | my sister and i were terrible as kids, well, right up until we had our own children, pulled knives, pushed each other down the stairs, you name it, we probnably did it. we sharted a room, it was nothing for a roller boot to come crashing down on o my head, seriously. We could never be in the same room for more then 30 minutes without it ending in a row.
My brothers, mmm, the odd verbal between them and that was it.... dont once remember it being physical.
who is worse? in my house growing up it was the girls. My kids have bigger age gaps, fingers crossed eh?? lol | |

i have 14 year old triplets all girls , fight and squabble all the time , over really stupid stuff .
but once 2 of them had a fight , and 1 had to spend 2 nights in hospital . the 2 at home cried themselves to sleep cos they missed her .

They adore each other but..oh my goodness the sibling rivalry the whole ridiculous macho nonesense..it's very noisy and a bit nnnoying at times. I hate it but I take solace in the fact that they are well matched and it's normal all that crazy aggressiveness etc...........they are so cruel to their sister which I highly dissapprove of but that is another story, I am hoping that her childhood experiece will arm her and make her a stronger human being and that she will become a serial killer of all the stupid men in the world.....amen | |

Posted: 3/1/2008 11:00:07 PM | Its perfectly normal for siblings to fight. I have two sons, aged 15 & 11 and they drive me mad at times. I think a large part is to wind us parents up. If they think I'm not present then they get on great and then start again when they see me.
When I was growing up, I was the middle child of three and there was something like 28 months between us .Anytime my dad caught us fighting he made us sort it out in the back garden by boxing each-other. We only had one pair of boxing gloves between us though.It was quite bizarre thinking back now, my sister and I, knocking hell out of each other with one glove each in the back garden with my old fella acting as ref.
It was a good idea actually. It meant we worked off the aggression in a controlled,safe environment whilst at the same time learning the noble [art]. I reckon my sister could give any of my friends a whooping in the ring | |

My girls have grown out of the physical fighting stage, as they are now 16 and 19, but they verbally argue, with one or other of them either throwing something the other values out of our 4th floor window, or pulling down the other's wall posters - stuff like that.
I used to worry about going out for a few hours and leaving them at home, a couple of years ago, but they were always fine. It is only when I am here at home with them that they argue.

Posted: 3/3/2008 6:02:15 AM | My 2 boys, don't realy fight, they argue over cartoon channels or tease each other, but nothing major......nothing like me and my brother when we were younger, broken bones were a monthly thing for us, one time i jumped on him wearing me mums high heels while he was sleeping......well he ripped my Cindy's head off and stuck it hanging off teh clothes line...i don't regret any of it......lol but then again we are now in our 30's and still fight

Posted: 3/3/2008 10:20:44 AM | mentioned this to my sister today when she came round, we had a right giggle when we were talking of some of the spats, once when i really got he better of her landed her in some deep poo, she went to my mum after things had cooled down a bit and told her i was doing arosols ect... yeah, me, the one who never even lifted up a ciggarette. Anyway, this resulted in almost everyone being involved it got brought up in school you name it, ended up seeing social services, councilors, special sessions in school you name it, all because the little cow claimed to have seen me sniffing hair spray!!!! I wasnt allowed to move for months, mean while she got full freedom rights as my mum was so focused on me......................
BIATCH!!!!
love her to bits, and i only hope her kids give her ½ as much grief as she caused.... payback would be accomplished... | |

I think girls are worse as my lads just seem to give eachother a dig or a kick.
I seem to remember scratching my sister pulling her hair out,hitting her with shoe's kicking,biting,punching you name it we did it,we had our last fight full on rolling round the floor,punching,kicking when we were both heavilly pregnant,something minor like a game of pool kicked it off.That was nearly 11 years ago we have never bickered since.
Girls are more evil and carry it on longer. | |

Posted: 3/3/2008 2:27:36 PM | Ha ha i just read my mums post on here to,she did used to copy what we were saying to make us laugh.But what made me laugh more was her saying that both sets of girls stopped fighting as teenagers pfft!!
Ive only seen my younger sisters twice since xmas and both times they have been about to kill eachother i think 27 is a pretty old teenager. | |

sisters do the same again..like most women they part their ways regardless of friendship or relationship-harder to regain.
Maybe as men make-up more easily -as fighting is seen as the more acceptable version of the two sexes. | |
