The what and how of this product though, was that it was a soft plastic "cup" that fit over the cervix to catch the flow. Sounds like a clever plan, and I did have sex with an ex who was using these... but I found that I was bashing or catching the head of my penis on the bottom edge of the cup, and it really wasn't that pleasant.

I personally do not like doing it during that time because it's so slushy that I could on for even and never come. Boring. Now, if you are creative with each other, use your imagination, some interesting things will evolve.

When wearing a diaphragm during menstration, she should be sure to remove within 8 hours (risk of toxic shock) - and if she has a heavy flow, sooner. But since I'm on the pill, my periods are light - I put it in before bed and take out in the morning in the shower. My SO doesn't even know when I'm on my cycle - and that's just fine with me!

It is called Instead...available at most CVS stores (I think Walgreen's too) or online. There website... http://www.softcup.com/ I have found that they are good for some spooning and slow kindof sex...but not at all for the rough and deep stuff (unless you are tiny). It is a start though. The shower is a great suggestion though, or just make a mess and then clean each other up in the shower.

If any of these are just too much trouble - then don't do it. Simple.

Good luck! | |

I find this time of month gives time for exploring other options, as I don't really like to do "it" at that time.

I just assumed it was that way with most women.
So why not get on some birth control that limits the frequency of the monthly visitor. (Depo stops it completely but there is another on the market that makes it only happen once every few months)
Keep in mind that depo can cause calcium loss.
