Posted: 3/2/2008 10:13:25 PM | I am weary of the whining about both genders being superficial. Let's talk about it, and I am more than happy to start.
What kind of relationship are you looking for?
First and foremost, I like men with a lively mind, who are intelligent and funny. If they cannot communicate about anything meaningful, forget it. With me, everything else pales in comparison. If you cannot hold my attention, you won't be holding any body parts.
If they're totally wrapped up in "why aren't I getting laid?" or their jobs, some sport to the exception of all other things, or they just aren't good at expressing what is on their mind in an evocative way. If they lack wit, intellect or passion in their lives, they are not going to last ten minutes over some coffee with me. One of us will really irritate the crap out of the other one and there is a good chance it will be me that is irritable.
Are they sane?

*a quick witted and intelligent mind, someone to keep me on my toes, someone who can "get me"
*a certain look of life in their eyes...borderline 'mischievous' is a plus
*looks and certain "types" come into play, after all, their has to be a physical attraction, too, and my tastes are alllllllll over the map!!!
*and sexual and sexually 'open'....he has to be a willing participant  (vanilla need not apply)
I've actually found such animals to pet, but they can be rare.....hopefully not a endangered species!!!

I'm not looking for a type or a image, or a style. I just want him to understand the things about me that are understandable and except the things about me that are not.
Oh yeah, and he has to have a normal sleep pattern...insomniacs creep me out! | |

Loyalty is also important to me. It is natural to check out the "dessert tray", but he should come "home to eat". I am willing to give back what I wish for in abundance. But alas, I fear that he may be a mythical beast.  Btw: Whirly, after knowing a few psycho wack jobs in my time, sanity is NOT overrated, I personally embrace it. | |
