Camping on the Peace River: Peace River Campground. 2998 North West Highway 70, Arcadia, FL 34266
Dates Feb 29 to March 2. You are welcome to stay all weekend or just come down for one night. Pending the weather.
10 dollars a night, per person to pay to the campground in order to stay in our reserved camping area. There are bathrooms and hot showers available, and electric and water at the pavilions. Laundry and LP gas. Wi-Fi-Internet connection is available. There is a Restaurant/bar up the road, as well as a camp store on premises. We do suggest BYOB and Food. The Campground does permit Alcohol, but we must clean up after our selves. Pets are welcome, but they must be picked up after. Fires are allowed.
Things to do;
There are Canoe rentals, or Bring your own kayak, Walking and Bike Trails, Segway Rentals, Heated pool- 84 degree, Golf cart rental, Fishing, Fossil hunting, Open areas, Horse shoe pits, Dance Hall, Game Room, Fire Pit, Regular weekend activities include Friday night movie, Breakfast specials, Ice Cream Social & Bingo.

There is a discgolf course nearby & it is a short driving distance of Pass-A-Grille, Downtown St. Pete, & the Gulfport Casino. Only negative I see is that the park does not allow alcohol, but that is something I can work around if necessary. | |

I have stayed there twice and both times we had alcohol, but we kept it low key. Even the POF party that Ellen threw, most of us had alcohol.......Not that I am encouraging "breaking the rules"...just encouraging the use of good judgment if doing so. | |
