| Did anyone meet their love through their dog? Posted: 3/13/2008 9:20:07 PM | Yes, Mister Incognito. Did she mean: (1) said canine set up a plentyoffish type of enterprise? (2) Maybe the dog put in a good bark for her. (3) I also didn't quite understand if she meant love interest or love, as in husband/wife. I assumed the latter from the title, but am not quite sure when I read her post.
In answer to her question: No. Neither Lassie, nor McGriff the Crimedog have yet to help me. Underdog's a little busy fighting badguys and planning his appearances in various parades. Rin-tin-tin has always been a player and I'm not down with that.

For a second I thought this thread was in the wrong forum : P

While my answer to your question … have I ever met someone that I ended up dating & developing a relationship with through my dog is NO, being a dog lover, I can certainly see that happening. I walk my dog twice every day & I meet all kinds of people in the process. And since I love dogs, I have often approached strangers on more than one occasion, motivated by their dog.
To me this seems perfectly understandable since I’ve gotten so much enjoyment from my pets over the years. So maybe you are on to something there … perhaps trolling the aisles of the grocery stores or going from pub to pub on a Friday night hoping to meet someone should be replaced by a long stroll with man’s best friend!

Like I said ... if you are truly a dog lover I think you can really relate to meeting people this way! Gary

| Did anyone meet their love through their dog? Posted: 3/16/2008 6:01:27 PM | My dog has never introduced me to any potential romantic interests. But, dang he is a good judge of character. I had a boyfriend who i was really smitten with, my dog who usually likes most people, hated this guy. He would growl at him and jump in between us whenever we sat on the couch. Then the dog started peeing in this guys shoes....about two months after this started, i found out the guy had been sleeping with someone else all along.
To make a long story short, from that point forward, if my dog doesnt like someone, they are gone.

| Did anyone meet their love through their dog? Posted: 3/17/2008 8:10:28 PM | My old dog used to be a good judge on character. One time she pinned a guy up against a wall and would not let her guard down until he left. Needless to say, we found out later from a friend that the guy was an ex felon with drug charges. She would not allow this guy to even come in the door to my apartment. She was my best friend after that, and always stood between me and people she didn't trust, it is a sixth sense they have, and it should be trusted. That's it, thank you | |

i was sitting around depressed one day and my dog came up & said to me "Woof woof muddafugga... u need that hookup? i gotcha back dawg.... holla back, bit*h....Aroooo!"
He introduced me to my love... but she cheated on me 2 weeks later when she f**ked the dog.
