Everyone 21 and over is invited to another fun, flirty wild night suburban POF Party!
Come alone, bring friends - the more, the better!!
If you've been to many West/North West POF parties, you probably have heard of the band DeepSix - they are performing at HotShots that night and are advertising this event as their "Cinco De Mayo “Singles” Celebration with DeepSix!!" -- meaning MANY singles from all over should be there just hoping to maybe meet YOU. Don't be shy, all sort will be there - small, tall, all shapes and sizes, all colors, creeds and all hoping to meet someone special!
The band starts at 9:30 andI do believe there will be a cover charge (3 or4 bucks). If the turn out appears to be large enough, I believe HotShots is going to throw in some freebie stuff for our POF group - so sign up for the party!!! It's gonna be fun night!

Hotshots is a cool venue with pool tables, darts, air hockey, bags and plenty of room. Food stuff places nearby and/or a McDonalds basically in the parking lot. See ya's there! | |

The closest hotel is likely The Red Roof Inn on Rt 59, just south of I88. It likely has an Aurora address, but is about 3-4 miles from Hotshots. If you are coming from the city or the east, you take I88 west to Rt 59. You go right about 3 miles you are at Hotshots. If you got off I88 and went left instead, you are walking distance from the Red Roof Inn. Hope that helps! Laurie | |

Posted: 3/24/2008 7:02:11 AM | Ok, this is now the 7th POF party I've hosted. As far as the "sauasage fest" comment,
I'll give my usual answer.
1) Women rarely, if ever, go to a bar or party ALONE. Everyone knows that. How many chicks do you see sitting at a bar by themselves? It's RARE. Every women will bring at least one friend. I, personally, have 7 female friends, not on this site, who are coming.
2) Men always RSVP more readily. Men are, IN GENERAL, more at ease at a "bar" so RSVPing is no big deal. Alot of women I know feel funny about saying "yes I'll be at the bar that night" so they don't RSVP - until the last minute. Or they just show. That's just how it is.
3) The VAST majority of the women at the parties I host ask me "why don't the guys talk to us??!" so some of the guys who DO go are terminally shy. A condition that will get you NO WHERE in the dating world!! If you are indeed young, outgoing and charming (I'm assuming) then you will have your pick of the litter. Also bear in mind the party is over a month away. The last POF party I wound up hosting had 140 RSVP but the actual party date. So be patient. And the age ranges were all over the board. But if girls in their early to mid twenties is your target, maybe some dance club is more for you. This is a relaxed and social environment. Not a "meat market".
4) Lastly, yes, all ages DO show up. If you think the women are too old - then don't come. But I've seen some guys younger than you have an awesome night just because they had the right attitude.
Come - or don't. Too many men, stay home. Too old, don't go. But at least wait till closer to the event to judge it a "sausage fest". Give it time!! There are like 5 weeks till the party!!!!
That's the input from the hostess. No more sausage talk, k? Anyone who's actually BEEN to one of these knows it works out about 50/50 when the party actually happens!!

I am all for dating an older woman, it's just that I wouldn't think they would be into a much younger guy, but once again, I don't know what I am talking about. Well said the rebuttle on the guy fest....... many of the ladies wait until we get closer because truth be told we are hoping to possibly have a date for a Friday or Saturday night with some one on one time! I think it would be fun, and will likely go, but I will weigh in as we get closer, for I hate to break any commitments! I have been to a couple of POF parties at the Foundry in Aurora, and it was a great time, met lots of nice people, whether they were exactly for me or not. My friend Karen met someone at a POF party and they are really happy together after a year now, so it can work! We are having a 70-80's dance this Friday in Willow Springs, it should be a lot of fun so check out the thread and try to make it. Looks like over 160 people so far, all ages! Laurie | |

I can promise you one thing, if you show up with bells on - your bound to get noticed - especially if you forget the rest. Clothing is SOOOO over-rated!

We had the best time with a 26yr old and just because he was open and enjoyed talking to the more mature group of women. Its all in how you want to perceive yourself. This guy said he would rather hang out with us then anyone else in the room! So if you got an age issue, oh well your loss.

You always know the right thing to say, and kudos to you? I went to the last pof party that Kat hosted and it was a blast. The truth is that most of the guys are shy and I went away with more girls numbers that were kicking and fun! LOL What Kat says is true, everyone is there to have fun and meet new people and you just got to go with the flow. Come, expecting to have a good time, and make new friends and u will. Come expecting to watch and someone will try and yank you out of your chair, if you at least put a smile on your face! Just like life, it's all about attitude!
