| What do men want most in a woman?

Just wondering what do men want in a woman. Are there still old fashion men out there or are they all gone. What do you expect on a first date. What kind of personailities do you feel are the most attractive to men? And if anyone wants to add the latter that is fine as well. Just thought I would start something up.

Posted: 3/14/2008 10:44:47 AM | I'm not sure what the phrase old fashioned means to each person,but when I go on a date I simply want a little interaction, something that shows me how she really acts,not just an interview wher yes or no answers are given to black and white questions.
As far as personality,outgoing is fun,but either hyper or too reserved may not encourage a second date. | |

Posted: 3/16/2008 11:10:55 AM | I certainly can't speak for all men however the basics and I do mean the basics that I desire in a woman is of course both her inter as well as outer beauty coupled with compassion, honesty, fun and excitement. A woman that enjoys romance as well as passion filled sex.
On the first "date" a casual meeting for simply an iced tea works well, not in a bar but in a location where there can in fact be conversation. Locations such as Perkins, Bennigans, etc., provides a relaxed atmosphere to converse thus determining if there is 1.) A mutual physical attraction 2.) If mutual interests do exits. Upon the first in person get together one is able to access if a second get together is something both would be interested in undertaking. For myself there is nothing expected other then to enjoy an iced tea and of course converse.
The type of personality that I find attractive in women include a positive, out going goal oriented, bubbly zest for life outlook. A woman that has it together both personally as well as professionally, that is secure and who is totally comfortable with who she is. | |

I don't look at the size of the body but the size of the intellect. After all when the passion begins to fade it's nice to have someone to talk to. The bubble headed twigs who try to emmulate Paris Hilton are definately a turn off. | |

A friend.
If I can't be friends with a woman, there's little hope for anything lasting. As someone else stated, once the new wears off and things start to fade, you've got to have something else to hold things together. Friendship is probably the best thing possible, though shared interests will help for some time as well. | |

My wife lost her sex drive at least 10 years ago and no longer has any desire to have sex, hug, or even kiss me on the lips. I will not leave her, I still love her and my children would be crushed so I am looking for a woman who is in the same boat I'm in. Someone not looking for a divorce but some love and affection and of course, sex. I want to find a woman who enjoys all aspects of sex. Giving and receiving oral, deep kisses, petting, hugging and the works. I know this will tick off a lot of women but face it, when your husband is not getting it at home he is going to find it somewhere else. So my next women will be a great lover. Someone who is open minded about sex and understands a mans needs and desires. | |

Because it seems to be the one things most men look for from the get go and than go to all the personality things. Maybe that is just all I get from men because as for everything else I have. Even to the point I have been told I am the perfect woman and when a man gets me he better think he is the luckiest man alive. But than in all of that these men can say that they wont date me because I am not a size 5.
Will guys not take the time to get to know a person regardless of size just to see if they have everything else they want? | |

Never is it man I think that would be loyal and honest and a great friend. I realize that what I want out of life may not come in the package that I want. Granted it would be nice to find a man that I am totally physically attracked to but I have come to realize as well that if I get that type man the only thing he wants from me is sex.
Physical is very important to everyone. Just the question is when will people grow up and learn from life to realize that it all doesn't come in the total package you may want. I wonder the reason why all of us who have been on here for a while if that is the problem. That we are not willing to give up on going by physical appearance alone long enough to see if there really is someone out here that will mesh well with you and your life. | |

All we can tell from looking from afar is is she hott or cute or sexy or whatever. Maybe if women just started wearing signs that said Loyal, or Great Friend, or Honest on them we would know which women to talk to and stop looking so much at the physical package. But I don't think that's going to happen too soon.
Um, maybe I wasn't supposed to tell you that, shoot, now the GPSG (Guy Secrets Protection Group) is going to come and 'punish' me. Shoot, I wasn't supposed to say that either, well, nice knowing you..........

Posted: 7/16/2008 7:39:51 AM | I have dated enuf women that I know that the"kick ass body" that some women think they have doesn't always have anything to do with sexual satisfaction.I dated a woman that did some modeling once,even tho she looked great on my arm I just wasn;t going to put up with a dumb blonde that wasn't all that great in bed.I want the whole package,and if personality or truthfulness is lacking then her sexual skills won't be enuf on their own to keep me around.
PS Some women that might have been well built when they were teens or early twenties aren't necessarily sexy enuf to flaunt their bodies at 35-45 and should be realistic in their clothes,,saw a women with her belly hanging over her low ride jeans and she also had a thong showing that looked like it was streatched to the max. | |

It seems that physical attraction is a key, but people are attracted to different things/people. I have one male friend who goes crazy over a woman with big eyes. Does matter her size, "classical prettiness" of her face or anything, just the eyes. Who one friend finds attractive, another may not. It's the same thing for me and my friends. My female friends very rarely are attracted to the same guys I am. Then, once you get through the initial attraction, you find out what kind of person they are and that makes them either more or less attractive in your eyes. JMHO  | |

Yeah you are right it is different for everyone. And it is always good to have female friends who are not attracked to the same type of men just because it keeps things easy.
For me is has always been eyes, arms, and height. Beyond that nothing else has ever mattered. A man have a big pillow for a belly but hey if I feel safe in his arms than I am good to go.
I guess the question is when do we step out side of our box and try something that is just different. | |

don't have an answer to what men want, accept that I agree, we all want different things. Most men though seem to want a small lady, who makes him look good. Its life I guess...even if it sucks that most of us women after about 25 don't fit that category | |
