ok

so I am just nearly exploring and not really into this yet, unless someone incredible were to contact me, but I am just wondering how I would be seen through my profile.
I dont want to write huge paragraphs but rather keep it simple and to the point with some traits of my personality showing through.

Thanks

Hi.

You say you drink socially then you go on for a whole paragraph about beer, breweries, wine tasting, Sam Adams, etc. Conversely, the shorter paragraph is actually about YOU.
My advice is to write the longer paragraph to describe you, give it flair, personality, throw in a funny line...If you're fond of beer, mention it, don't highlight it.

Sorry if I offend, not intended.

Hope this helps, good luck in your search!

Hi.... well you asked so here goes.
Your main pic...... Is your first contact i see here......
I seriously expected you to be english(uk)
because it looks like your at your mums place drinking tea.... the body language of arms crossed etc that pic you look really uncomfortable within yourself. and so I feel uncomfy looking at it....(you also seem older than 35... )
your two pics with dog.... you only need 1.
Id suggest get more pics with smiles..
Also yes I agree re the drinking/beer.....truly your the only profile ive seen that instead of talking of your attributes.. you talk about beer...
Its almost like your marketing beer..(and your first sentence about drinking..truly contradicts itself ,, when you go on about beer)
Id read that as a person is unaware of themselves..

heres a tip if you cannot know yourself to describe yourself.. then theres doubt you could know others...

Imagine you were selling a car?.......what are its assests? ....what are its bad points?
truly if you were going for a job(resume).... would you be talking up the qualities/brands of beer?
anyway.....
You mightnt read many guys profiles........
yep it needs work..
I know nothing about you from it.. except what i can read between the lines..
and if you want people to know more ...ask you>.... then give them something about you already...to connect with... 1st impressions count .....not later
also youve ticked non smoker so need to add that...
good luck mate..

smiles/peace

HAHA

I am at my parents house drinking tea. You nailed this so exactly. I posted that particular picture because I was cought a bit off-guard on it and I'd rather keep it real then try to pose.

I'll get some more pics and make some adjutements once I get around to.
Thanks and keep it coming.

Your nickname is bobafett yet you do not list Star Wars as an interest...shameon you!

Your profile is better than most men's so I will tell you what I look for when someone emails me. Unlike 99% of the people out there, I prefer a profile with about three solid paragraphs of information: something about you, what you are looking for here, and the type of woman you would like to meet. Keep in mind a paragraph is about five sentences so it isn't a whole lot of writing. Make sure you use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. While they might not seem important, it can make the different between making you look like an educated man and a guy who hasn't graduated elementary school.

First, what do you like to do? Do you prefer skydiving adventures or do you prefer a bowl of spaghetti and watching a movie? Do you have any hobbies? List the things that makes you unique. Saying, "I like beer" doesn't tell me anything about you. Most men like beer. I like beer. Saying, "I am a beer aficionado and I like to travel to microbreweries across the Unites States and I have visited the following states and these are my favorites" tells me you have a hobby in beer, you like to travel, and I should like beer and traveling. Or you can describe your pictures, like why are posing with a Prius? Do you like gas mileage, are you into the environment, like the tax cut?

Secondly, what kind of person are you looking for? Are you looking for a specific type? Do you like bookworms, tomboys, girls next door, cheerleaders, etc? What are the qualities you are looking for in a woman? Again, specificity helps a lot. Saying, "I want someone who is honest" is a given unless you are the one person out there who likes dishonest women. Saying you like someone who is upfront and says what they mean and who doesn't drop hints is a bit more specific. This part doesn't have to be long. I kept this portion short on my profile because I figure if someone read that far, then they have a good idea of what I am looking for.

One word of caution here is that you don't want to be too specific: a 5'4", 120lb, blonde, with blue eyes and a degree microbilogy might limit you a bit.

Looks good. Just one thought: I'm not too interested in a list of your favorite beers though. I'd much rather see a list of favorite movies, books, activities you like to do outside of visiting micro brews (and that sounds like fun). Maybe just a few more things about yourself that would peak an interest for the reader.
Best of luck to you!

kittybiscuit, you're the bomb for catching onto that. and i will have to correct the interests section.

thanks for the other tips too. the kind of person i am looking for though, well, really i dont have a preference here and i am open to all sorts of people such as you mentioned. even if there is something particular i dont like i might just be ok with it as long as the rest of it is cool since i look at people as a whole rather then seperate parts. but i will narrow it down a bit.

the prius ? well, its my car, i bought it mostly for the environment i guess after i sold my truck, and my old man wanted that pic, and its very recent.
