I'm not talking about hard trance, hard house, hard dance, techno etc etc
but does anyone like uplifting trance here? I'm so passionate about it. Stuff like Giuseppe Ottaviani, Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate, Agnelli & Nelson....
I've just seen for so long now how it has a massive, positive impact on people's lives....anyone think the same way? :)

I would have to say that any of Tiesto's work would have to be uplifting trance. Any of the In Search for Sunrise albums.. all good!

Oceanlab is by far Above & Beyond's best alias, in my humble opinion. Go Jono & Grant!

Emotional Horizons, who's a good friend of mine from Hungary, is a great uplifting producer. There's also Hawk from Scandaniva (I forget which country exactly he's from, maybe Norway?), Aly & Fila (Fila is a great guy), Daniel Kandi, Breakfast and my man Steve Helstrip (Thrillseekers) and a lot of others for uplifting.

I play more my own style, but if you had to compare to names you would know, a combination of gareth emery, markus schulz and andy moor. I like that dirty electric trance sound that jumps bumps and pumps. I can't stand too much techno, but I'll tolerate it from John Askew (I'll never give him any tracks ever again, he edited one of mine and wouldn't give me a copy of it) and Eddie Halliwell.

Cosmic Gate does tech trance now, dunno where you got uplifting from on that one. Nic Chagall of Cosmic Gate does like progressive/tech/minimal.

Check out my shows:
Progressive Transmission on Party107.com every Wed @ 5pm PST (8pm EST / 1am GMT)
Trancechannel.net every Fri @ Noon PST (3pm EST / 8pm GMT)

Charged Frequencies on Danceradio.gr every 1st Mon @ 7am PST (10am EST / 3pm GMT) of the month followed by Martin Roth and Manuel Le Saux

kathleen fisher with filo and peri with ordinary moment I have witnessed people crying on dancefloors when that piano/vocal section drops.. if thats not effecting people then i dont know what is.

Just because its dance music doesnt mean it can't have an impact on a person and trance music has always been about going that little bit further conciously.

I just said this in another thread, but I've been listening to three DJ Tiesto songs lately: Beautiful Things, Just Be, and In Your Eyes. I'd have to say that the first two are very uplifting. Granted, they're originally done by other people, but I like his mix of them. I think he does very tasteful remixes, unlike some of the other "top" remixers. I've heard other variations of Beautiful Things that I thought were awful.

please pm me djcommisadhotmail - I can't mail you because of your settings....

to all - are there venues that feature this? I hang at the Portal at Shambala because I like the trance that tends to get spun.

Giuseppe Ottaviani (Until Monday)

Nice thread. Uplifting trance is about boosting our spirits, just like good old heavy metal. Maybe not exactly classified as trance, but Centory (Take It To The Limit), La Bouche (I Love To Love), Eiffel 65 (Move Your Body) could definitely light it up on a dance-floor or at the gym.

The fact that people know that trance lovers are the most passionate about their music... reason being it makes you feel soo good. massive breakdowns, uplifting melodies, nothing compares to it.

Im a dj myself, and when you drop a track, and the room goes completely nuts, its the best feeling ever. Nothing can compare to it.

And, the fact that the top djs every year are trance dj's goes to say something about the music

=)
